The connecting links can easily pass through open sections of the alphanumeric character outline to allow rotation and sliding movement in at least two different directions so that the alphanumeric character can provide different appearances when the jewelry chain is worn. The chain can form or be incorporated in necklaces, bracelets or earrings.
