PAVING STONE INCLUDING AN INFILTRATION REGION AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
A paving stone comprises at least one functional region comprising, a primary connecting system comprising at least two upper connecting portions, and a secondary connecting system comprising at least two lower connecting portions; and at least one infiltration region. The at least one functional region and the at least one infiltration region are positioned on a same side of the paving stone. The at least two upper connection portions and at least two lower connecting portions of functional regions of adjacent paying stones are configured to cooperate with each other to form a narrow joint in a region of the primary connecting system and a wide joint in the region of the secondary connecting system. The at least one infiltration region of the adjacent paving stones tbrrn a chamber which is open at a bottom end.
Apparatus and methods for electrically grounding at least one mat in a load-supporting surface
System for electrically grounding a reusable load-supporting surface includes at least two mats and a plurality of substantially planar, removable, electrically-conductive covers. Each cover extends at least partially across the top face of one of the mats without extending over any of the edges thereof and is flexibly coupled to the mat sufficient to allow the mat to flex, expand and contract relative to the cover due to environmental factors and the movement of personnel, vehicles and/or equipment across the load-supporting surface during normal, typical or expected use conditions.
LIFTING OF CONCRETE COMPONENTS
A lifting system for a concrete component comprises a void former incorporated into the component during casting and which provides within the component a void which receives a locking pin of a lifting anchor assembly which is locked within the void by rotation of a locking pin. The lifting anchor assembly has a visual indicator to indicate when the pin is in its locked condition within the void, and a pivotal lifting shackle of the assembly is prevented from movement into a position in which lifting can take place until the pin is in its locked condition. Preferably a base of the void former is configured to retain components of a jacking system by which a concrete slab used for road repair can be jacked into a level configuration with the remainder of the roadway when it has been positioned by use of the lifting system.
Tactile warning panel apparatus with smart technology
Multipurpose tactile warning panels for use in pedestrian walkways, and in particular tactile warning panels that are designed and built with multifunction/multipurpose capabilities that serve the visually impaired and enable the deployment of smart city technology by integrating tactile warning systems and subsurface enclosures that can withstand pressures of five (5) tons up to and exceeding sixty (60) tons and incorporate small cells, beacons, sensors, Fog Computing, electric energy generation, rechargeable power supplies, wireless M2M communication and a plethora of other smart city technologies.
Method for operating a driverless transport system
A method for operating at least one intelligent floor element includes receiving at least one planned movement of at least one object on at least one floor element, determining at least one safety area for each object in its environment on at least one floor element, checking overlaps of safety areas, and outputting a signal with respect to the safety area with the aid of activatable markings on at least one floor element.
POLYMER PANELS FOR WALKWAY AND PAVING
Embodiments provide a polymeric walkway for mitigating surface water runoff and a method for constructing the same. A polymeric walkway module is secured to a pre-conditioned ground. The polymeric walkway module includes an upper panel, a lower panel, and a plurality of spacers. The upper panel includes a plurality of perforations. The plurality of spacers is positioned between the upper panel and the lower panel defining a hollow space. Surface water permeates through the plurality of perforations and occupies the hollow space during the surface water runoff.
Tile-Securing System and Related Methods
A tile-securing system having a polymeric wedge component positioned between two adjacent tiles that are in plane and the polymeric wedge component contacting a side edge of each adjacent tile, wherein the polymeric wedge component exerts a force against both side edges; the polymeric wedge component being secured to a solid substrate using a fastener.
MULTILAYER PRECAST PAVED ROAD
Provided is a multilayer precast paved road that enables simple coupling between upper pavement panels and lower pavement panels using joint members and enables easy and quick assembly and removal without requiring a large number of processes. A multilayer precast paved road including a plurality of precast lower pavement panels laid on a road panel and a plurality of precast upper pavement panels laid on upper surfaces of the lower pavement panels is configured such that the lower pavement panels 3 and the upper pavement panels are arranged in a zigzag manner, and joint members are provided to lie between upper and lower joining surfaces of the lower pavement panels and the upper pavement panels, and the lower pavement panels and the upper pavement panels are coupled to each other through engagement or fitting between the lower pavement panels and the upper pavement panels achieved by the joint members.

Base for turf system
An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of spaced apart, upwardly oriented projections that define channels suitable for fluid flow along the top side of the core when the underlayment layer is positioned beneath an overlying artificial turf assembly.
