SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASPHALT MIX TRACKING
An asphalt mix tracking system having a data collection system adapted to determine at least one characteristic of the asphalt mix, a data control system adapted to receive data from the data collection system, a lot tracking system adapted to track a lot of the asphalt mix, a truck tracking system adapted to track a truck, and a pavement injection system adapted to identify the lot of the asphalt mix. The preferred asphalt mix tracking system is adapted to substantially continuously track the asphalt mix from a mixing site to a paving site. A method for tracking an asphalt mix including determining the at least one characteristic of the asphalt mix, communicating the at least one characteristic of the asphalt mix to the data control system, transporting the asphalt mix from the mixing site to the paving site, and injecting an identification means at the paving site.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR MOBILE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF ADVANCED STRUCTURES AND ROADWAYS
The present disclosure provides various aspects for mobile and automated processing utilizing additive manufacturing and the methods for their utilization. In some examples, the mobile additive manufacturing apparatus may perform surface treatments that support the building of walls. Other examples may involve the support of creating and repairing advanced roadways.
Treating particulate and connecting slab portions
A method of treating particulate, in substance including selecting a load based on a planned in use loading of the particulate; applying the load to the particulate; injecting material below the load; and removing the load.
Method for relieving vaulted expansion of cement-stabilized base layer through precut seams
A method for relieving vaulted expansion of a cement-stabilized base layer through precut seams. The method firstly establishes an RBFN model according to a large number of observation results of a vaulted expansion amount of the cement-stabilized base layer under different conditions (such as temperature and a stress release structure) in Xinjiang and similar regions; and on such a basis, the vaulted expansion amount of the cement-stabilized base layer to be designed is predicted. When the vaulted expansion amount is greater than a control requirement, the RBFN model is configured to design a reasonable width and a reasonable interval of the precut wide expansion seams to ensure that the vaulted expansion amount of the cement-stabilized base layer is less than a control value. Based on the design of the RBFN model, the present invention provides a corresponding construction method for the precut wide expansion seams. The present invention can predict the vaulted expansion of the cement-stabilized base layer without precut seams according to existing data.
Water-permeable woven geotextile
A water-permeable woven geotextile fabric for providing soil reinforcement and/or stabilization, for example as an underlayment in road construction, utilizes a series of round warp fibers, in combination with a series of flat warp fibers, across the width of the fabric to increase water flow while still providing desired filtration. In particular, the round warp fibers form angles that allow greater amounts of water to pass through the fabric. In addition, using both round and flat warp fibers results in increased roughness of the fabric surface, which makes the fabric more resistant to being pulled out of the soil when pulled on. Furthermore, one or more of the round and/or flat warp fibers can include a color selected for high visibility to the human eye in daylight conditions.
A STRUCTURE FOR THE REINFORCEMENT OF PAVEMENTS
The invention relates to a structure for the reinforcement of pavements. The structure is provided at predetermined positions with interruptions or with weakened zones. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a structure and to a method of breaking up a pavement reinforced with such a structure.
Method and apparatus for sealing cracks
A portable dispensing device for dispensing a crack sealant, comprises an outer housing, a melting kettle for holding crack sealant to be melted, a guide mechanism in the housing below the kettle for positioning a burner below the kettle, a burner assembly removably mounted in an air gap between the outer housing and the melting kettle using the guide mechanism, the removable burner assembly configured to direct a flame against a surface of the melting kettle, a control valve fluidly connected to the melting kettle to dispense melted crack sealant, and a handle assembly for manually moving the portable dispensing device.
Planning System and Method for Coordinating Road Milling Tasks
The invention relates to a planning system and method for operating one or more road milling machines. In that context, material properties of a road are captured and are geographically associated with one or more roads or road segments. Based on the material properties, an expected milling output of a road milling machine is ascertained, in the context of carrying out milling tasks on the road, or an expected wear on the milling tools. An optimized sequence of milling tasks to be carried out is created on the basis of those data. Accordingly, the invention may enable optimized deployment of the one or more road milling machines and of resources necessary for carrying out the road milling tasks. Aspects of the planning system may be remotely implemented for centralized application with respect to each of the road milling machines, or locally implemented for individual road milling machines.
LIFTING OF CONCRETE COMPONENTS
A lifting system for a concrete component comprises a void former incorporated into the component during casting and which provides within the component a void which receives a locking pin of a lifting anchor assembly which is locked within the void by rotation of a locking pin. The lifting anchor assembly has a visual indicator to indicate when the pin is in its locked condition within the void, and a pivotal lifting shackle of the assembly is prevented from movement into a position in which lifting can take place until the pin is in its locked condition. Preferably a base of the void former is configured to retain components of a jacking system by which a concrete slab used for road repair can be jacked into a level configuration with the remainder of the roadway when it has been positioned by use of the lifting system.
