Smart Modular Street and Sidewalk
A modular system for streets formed of a top module, a bottom module, an internal cavity formed within the bottom module, cables positioned within said bottom module, a computing device, sensors operatively associated with said computing device, and communications hardware configured to communicate information from said sensors to a second computing device positioned exterior to said modular system.
Deck fixing apparatus applied to urban parks and ecological rivers
Provided is a deck fixing apparatus including a rectangular support plate having a bottom surface which can partially come into contact with the top surface of a lower support; deck fixing parts formed by pressing the both side portions of the support plate and each of the deck fixing parts having a top surface for supporting the bottom surface of a deck and piece-fastened to the deck; and a support fixing part formed by extending a part of one side end of the support plate outwards in a plate surface direction so as to be fixed to the lower support, wherein the support plate has a cutout formed by cutting out a predetermined area inwards at the other side end of the support plate. Therefore, such deck fixing apparatuses can be coupled to each other in an angle-adjustable manner, thereby enabling the curve section construction of decks.
Permeable joint for paver and structural system therefor
A structural system that includes at least two pavers partially defining a paved surface, the pavers partially defining a void between them. The system also includes a permeable joint located in the void between the pavers, where the permeable joint also partially defines the paved surface. The permeable joint includes a base layer formed of aggregate and bonded together with a non-cement binder, and a membrane layer formed of aggregate that is sized smaller than the aggregate of the base layer, where the aggregate of the membrane is also bonded together with a non-cement binder. The membrane is less permeable than the base layer and is located above the base layer.
Groutless patterns for pavement surfaces using thermoplastic preforms
The disclosure describes an article of manufacture and method of forming one or more paver or paver-like patterned preforms for application to a pavement surface. The pattern may be selected for functional or decorative purposes. These distinct thermoplastic pavement marking patterned preforms comprise at least four independent sections wherein each of the four independent sections are placed on a pavement surface such that the four independent sections are separate and distinct and the four sections have top surfaces that are coplanar and also different from one another wherein the difference is selected from the group consisting of: different shades, different colors, and different textures, and wherein at least two of the four independent sections that are contiguous with each other are different shades, colors, or textures and wherein no grout line exists separating any of the four independent sections that combined together comprise the patterned preforms.
