Self-propelled earth working machine having a joystick with more than one operating mode for controlling the travel movement
A self-propelled earth working machine includes a joystick deflectable from a reference position. A controller is configured to detect the deflection of the joystick and to control a travel drive. The controller is switchable between a first operating mode, in which the controller assigns a first movement variable to the deflection of the joystick according to a first correlation and controls the travel drive according to the first movement variable, and a second operating mode in which the controller assigns a second movement variable differing from the first movement variable to the deflection of the joystick according to a second correlation and controls the travel drive in accordance with the second movement variable but not in accordance with the first movement variable.
Hose holder system and related methods
A hose holder system includes a rigid holder having a substantially vertical section and a substantially horizontal section. A flexible sling movably couples with the substantially horizontal section and includes a first flap and a second flap. A hose couples with the rigid holder through the sling, the hose coupled between the first flap and second flap, the sling supporting a portion of the hose in a position substantially parallel with the substantially horizontal section of the rigid holder. A swiveling base is coupled with the rigid holder and includes an opening therethrough through which the hose passes substantially perpendicularly. In implementations the hose holder system is configured to allow the hose to contact no rigid element of the hose holder system between the opening and a dispenser during use. The hose may enter the sling at an about 90 degree angle and exit at an about 30-35 degree angle.

Machine for laying and anchoring a sheet of material on a ground surface
A tracked, self-propelled machine for laying a film and depositing ballast on it to cover a landfill or other ground area. The machine (20) has a ballast box (28) with a reciprocating slat floor (38) and an end gate (34) for holding the ballast (50). A ballast distribution module (58) at the back of the ballast box has a pair of conveyors (68, 70) separated by a gap (72). A roll of film (96) is held by a film roll support mechanism (94) at the back of the machine for unwinding onto the ground surface as the machine moves forward. Ballast is moved to the back of the box by the reciprocating slat floor and is released from an opening (52) under the end gate onto the conveyors and into the gap for deposition onto the laid film.
Device, as well as method for working ground surfaces or roadways
A device for working ground surfaces or roadways comprising a machine frame and a working drum in a drum housing arranged at said machine frame, where no less than one spraying device extending parallel to the working drum and featuring several outlet nozzles for spraying agents arranged next to one another and directed towards the working drum is arranged at the drum housing, where the outlet nozzles comprise one each drivable closing mechanism with a closing element which, in an open position, fully uncovers the nozzle channel of the outlet nozzle and, in a closed position, closes the nozzle channel. A controller drives the closing mechanisms, with the outlet nozzles and the related closing elements being adapted to one another in such a fashion that the flow cross-section in the outlet nozzle is variable in accordance with the position of the closing element on a specified path between the open position and closed position.

Composition comprising saturated hydrocarbon and method for dust suppression
A composition for suppressing dust particles includes from about 51% to about 100% by weight of saturated hydrocarbons, and from about 0 to about 49% by weight of unsaturated hydrocarbons. The composition has a content of wax in the range from about 5% to about 40% by weight of the total composition. A method of making and a method of using such a composition are also provided.
