Suppressing switching operation of a machine from an electric mode to an engine mode

A control system may include a control of a user interface and a controller. The controller may be configured to cause a machine to operate in a first mode, the machine being configured for hybrid operation in the first mode using a battery without using an internal combustion engine or in a second mode using the internal combustion engine when a level of the battery is below a threshold. The controller may be configured to receive an input, via the control, indicating that the second mode of the machine is to be disabled. The controller may be configured to cause, based on the input and when the level of the battery is below the threshold, suppression of operation of the machine in the second mode.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ROTOR ASSEMBLY

A system for controlling a rotor assembly includes a rotor, a gearbox having a number of shift components, an auxiliary motor, and a speed sensor that generates a speed signal indicative of a current speed of the rotor. The system includes one or more processors that determine whether the number of shift components are in an engaged position and engage the auxiliary motor with the rotor to rotate the rotor if the number of shift components are not in the engaged position. The one or more processors receive the speed signal from the speed sensor after the auxiliary motor is engaged with the rotor and compare the current speed of the rotor with a threshold speed of the rotor. The one or more processors maintain the engagement of the auxiliary motor with the rotor if the current speed of the rotor is below the threshold speed of the rotor.

Vision-based detection and control of machinery

A system for modifying an operational condition, i.e., the discharge speed or position, of a material-handling vehicle (MHV). The system includes a computer utilizing a machine learning engine to analyze visual data, a vision system comprising at least one camera mounted to the MHV for generating said visual data, and a controller operatively connected to the MHV. The vision system generates visual data by imaging an observed area proximate the MHV. That data is transmitted to the computer which, using a processor, analyzes the data to determine if a current operational condition of the MHV is outside of a tolerance band. If it is outside of the band, the computer system generates operational commands to bring the MHV back within the tolerance band and transmits said commands to the controller.
