The present disclosure provides vibratory compactor comprising an active isolation apparatus for reducing a vibration generated during the rotation of an eccentric shaft having an eccentric weight attached thereto. The active isolation apparatus comprises a drum, a propulsion motor configured to rotate the drum, a drive plate disposed between the propulsion motor and the drum in such a way as to be connected to the propulsion motor to transmit a rotating force to the drum, and a drum support configured to rotatably support the drum. The active isolation apparatus further comprises a first active isolation mass disposed between the drum support and the drum, a second active isolation mass disposed between the drive plate and the drum, an eccentric shaft configured to be rotated while penetrating through the first active isolation mass, the drum, and the second active isolation mass, a primary eccentric weight attached to the eccentric shaft inside the drum, an active isolation eccentric weight attached to each of the eccentric shaft inside the first active isolation mass and the second active isolation mass, and a vibration motor configured to rotate the eccentric shaft. In accordance with the active isolation apparatus of the present disclosure, when the eccentric shaft is rotated, a phase of a vibration generated by the active isolation eccentric weights is opposite to that of a vibration generated by the primary eccentric weight, and the vibration generated by the active isolation eccentric weights cancels the vibration generated by the primary eccentric weight.

The flap further includes a support member of a memory metal material coupled to the sheet. The support member has a deformed configuration and a non-deformed configuration. The support member experiences shape memory effect above a transition temperature that causes the support member in the deformed configuration to transition to the non-deformed configuration in response to heating at or above a transition temperature and also urges the sheet to return to the non-deformed configuration from a deformed configuration.

A machine that includes a cooling package and a method for cleaning debris from the cooling package is disclosed. The cooling package may include a housing, a cooler, a heat exchanger, a conduit, and plurality of nozzles mounted on the conduit. The cooler may be configured to receive heated machine fluid generated by the machine. The heat exchanger may be configured to convey heat away from the cooler and may include a plurality of fins coupled to and extending outward from the cooler. The plurality of fins may define a plurality of channels. The conduit may be disposed between the housing and the plurality of fins. The plurality of nozzles are configured to discharge a fluid on the fins. The fluid may be air or a release agent. In some embodiments, a release agent may be discharged on the fins prior to the discharge of air on the fins.

A rotary pivot arm positioning assembly for a paving, texturing, or curing machine allows the machine to automatically transition from an operational orientation to a transport orientation without manual repositioning or disconnection of its components. The assembly includes a pivot arm coupled to both the front and aft ends of an end frame by a helical actuator, slew gear drive or other rotary actuator. The rotary actuator articulates each pivot arm, as well as the adjustable leg and steerable crawler connected to the pivot arm, through at least a 90-degree range. The end frame may be fixed to the left or right end of the machine. The assembly may additionally include a second helical actuator, slew gear drive or rotary actuator connecting each steerable crawler to the adjustable leg and configured to rotate the steerable crawler through a full 360 degrees.
