WORK MACHINES AND SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING WEAR OF COMPONENTS OF WORK MACHINES
A work machine includes a frame, one or more drive members coupled to the frame, an engine for providing power to the one or more drive members, one or more components coupled to the frame, and a monitoring system for monitoring wear of the one or more components. The system includes a user interface and a controller. The controller is in circuit communication with the user interface. The controller is configured to receive information inputted into the user interface by a user and send an alert notification regarding the servicing of at least one of the one or more components based on the received information.
COOLING PACKAGE CLEANING SYSTEM
A machine that includes a cooling package and a method for cleaning debris from the cooling package is disclosed. The cooling package may include a housing, a cooler, a heat exchanger, a conduit, and plurality of nozzles mounted on the conduit. The cooler may be configured to receive heated machine fluid generated by the machine. The heat exchanger may be configured to convey heat away from the cooler and may include a plurality of fins coupled to and extending outward from the cooler. The plurality of fins may define a plurality of channels. The conduit may be disposed between the housing and the plurality of fins. The plurality of nozzles are configured to discharge a fluid on the fins. The fluid may be air or a release agent. In some embodiments, a release agent may be discharged on the fins prior to the discharge of air on the fins.
ADJUSTABLE ROTARY BRUSH
A rotary brush assembly for a paving machine may comprise a frame mount for mounting the rotary brush assembly to a chassis frame of the paving machine, as well as a plurality of adjustable mounting arms. The rotary brush assembly may further include a motor having a drive shaft. A pair of mounting plates may be coupled to the drive shaft. The rotary brush assembly may further include a plurality of blades. Each blade may include a mounting end installed between the pair of mounting plates, as well as an opposite free end.
METHOD FOR CLEANING PAVING SCREEDS
A method for cleaning a screed of a paving machine includes activating a vibration generator to induce a vibration into the screed such that the screed is excited at a resonant frequency of the screed to cause dislodgement of a residual build-up of a material from the screed.
FLAP FOR AN ASPHALT PAVER HOPPER
A flap for an asphalt hopper of an asphalt paver includes a sheet of a first material arranged to, in a non-deformed configuration, extend upwards from a base of the asphalt hopper and at least partially enclose one end of the asphalt hopper. The flap further includes a support member of a memory metal material coupled to the sheet. The support member has a deformed configuration and a non-deformed configuration. The support member experiences shape memory effect above a transition temperature that causes the support member in the deformed configuration to transition to the non-deformed configuration in response to heating at or above a transition temperature and also urges the sheet to return to the non-deformed configuration from a deformed configuration.
ASPHALT MAT THERMAL PROFILE VERIFICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM
A method and system of verifying asphalt mat temperature values and location data generated by a paving machine includes identifying a location and temperature value of a threshold thermal characteristic of thermal data generated by the paving machine, and displaying the paver-generated location and temperature value of the threshold thermal characteristic on a display of the paving machine. The method further includes determining a location and temperature value of the threshold thermal characteristic by one or more external systems, and comparing the externally-determined location and temperature value to the paver-generated location and temperature value.
Adjustment of the leveling cylinder setting in a road finisher
A road finisher includes an undercarriage, a chassis which is adjustable in height relative to the undercarriage, an electronic control system, and a paving screed which is attached to tie bars, the tie bars each being hinged to the chassis at a pull point and the pull points each being adjustable relative to the chassis by means of a leveling cylinder. The control system comprises a receiving unit configured to detect an actual pull point height, an evaluation unit configured to calculate a deviation of the actual pull point height from a target pull point height caused by a height adjustment of the chassis relative to the undercarriage, and a command unit, which is configured to automatically at least partially correct the deviation by a correction signal sent from the command unit causing a hydraulic controller to adjust at least one of the leveling cylinders.
Method for cleaning paving screeds
A method for cleaning a screed of a paving machine includes activating a vibration generator to induce a vibration into the screed such that the screed is excited at a resonant frequency of the screed to cause dislodgement of a residual build-up of a material from the screed.
System and method for operating a paving machine
A method for operating a paving machine is provided. The paving machine includes a screed assembly, a washdown system for washing the paving machine and the screed assembly and a ventilation system. The method includes receiving, by a controller, an operational data associated with the paving machine, and determining an operational state associated with the washdown system. The method further includes controlling, by the controller, an operation of the ventilation system based on the operational data associated with the paving machine and the operational state associated with the washdown system.
Control Apparatus for Soil Compacting Apparatus, with Handlebar and Rotational Speed Lever
A control apparatus for a soil compacting apparatus which can be driven by a drive motor is provided. The control apparatus includes a running-direction operating element, which is pivotable about a first axis, for predetermining a running direction of the soil compacting apparatus by an operator, and further includes a rotational-speed operating element, which is pivotable about a second axis, for setting a rotational speed of the drive motor. The first axis and the second axis are congruent and form a common pivot axis.
