The passenger boarding/alighting platform (30) has an upper surface (80) for boarding of passengers into a vehicle (20). The passenger boarding/alighting platform (30) also has a vehicle-facing surface (85) comprising at least two of a cutout (40) for docking of a wheel (45) of the vehicle to the passenger boarding/alighting platform (30). The vehicle stopping surface (90) is adjacent to the vehicle-facing surface (85) and is used for stopping of the vehicle (20) during the boarding/alighting of the passengers in/from the vehicle (20).

A method for repairing a damaged band of a fuel pump island, comprising: selecting among preformed band pieces to form a replacement band system for the fuel pump island, wherein the preformed band pieces include one or more of a straight band piece for covering a straight portion of a vertical wall of the fuel pump island, an outside corner band piece for covering an outside corner portion of the vertical wall of the fuel pump island, and an inside corner band piece for covering an inside corner portion of the vertical wall of the fuel pump island; preparing the fuel pump island by removing debris from the vertical wall and a top surface of the fuel pump island; installing the replacement band system over the damaged band of the fuel pump island by attaching respective wall portions of the preformed band pieces to the vertical wall of the fuel pump island; and, finishing a top surface of the fuel pump island to at least a height that is level with top surfaces of respective flange portions of the preformed band pieces.

The present disclosure relates to a safe foothold apparatus for a platform, wherein a foothold plate protrudes from and is retracted into the platform by moving along a curved rotational route so that the foothold plate is re-retracted into the platform safely due to the operation structure even when a collision occurs between a train and the foothold plate in a protrusion state. Therefore, the present invention can prevent the foothold plate and the train from being damaged, thereby establishing safer boarding/alighting environment and stably maintaining the operational state of the foothold plate by using a frictional contact module even in an emergency situation. Accordingly, the present invention can improve safety through a simple structure, facilitate the manufacturing and establishment work by simplifying a structure of a manual operation module, reduce the size of a whole apparatus, and far enhance the operational stability.
