Drainage device and methods for constructing and use
The present invention embodies a drainage device that is used for controlling the flow of rainwater during the first flush of rainfall. The drainage device includes a basin configured to receive rainwater or other liquids from an adjacent driving surface roadway through a drain (e.g., a grate). The interior of the basin encloses a plurality of pollution collection members (e.g., lattices) configured to trap pollutants in the rainwater for extraction from the rainwater. The pollution collection members are angled so as to increase the surface area that is exposed to rainwater entering and received within the drainage device (also referred to herein as the outside surface of the pollution collection members). The pollution collection members are configured to trap pollutants. The outside surfaces of the pollution collection members may be covered in a fabric that increases efficiency in filtering pollutants from the rainwater.
Concrete
Concrete is formed by providing a wet layer of a first concrete 4, applying a second wet layer 6 of concrete on the first layer 4 of wet concrete and setting the layers 4 and 6 to provide a composite concrete structure, wherein at least one of the layers comprises, AACM (Alkali-Activated Cementitious Material). An ionic bond 2 is formed between the two layers. The AACM layer may comprise a reinforcement structure and cathodic protection.
Concrete galley water detention and release systems
An underground water detention and release chamber including two concrete galleys and a plastic cap. Each galley has a substantially horizontally disposed top deck and two substantially vertically disposed side walls. The top deck and side walls connecting at respective ends to form first and second side edges. The two galleys positioned parallel to and a distance apart each other such that adjacent side walls of the galleys define a longitudinal channel between the galleys. The cap spanning the longitudinal channel and includes an arch-shaped body having two side base portions. Each side base portion has a horizontal strut and a vertical strut extending away from the body such that each base conforms to a side edge of a respective galley to position the cap on the galleys. The cap has a plurality of reinforcing members.
Ground water filtration system
Systems and methods for a ground water filtration system are described. The ground water filtration system includes paver blocks designed to facilitate liquid seepage between the paver blocks and to route the seepage to a preferred area. A filter may be utilized to remove undesired particulates in the seepage prior to routing. The ground water filtration system additionally provides at least one layer of stone to facilitate flow direction of the seepage. At least one geogrid fabric is also provided to further enhance ground water filtration.

A pre-stressed concrete box culvert includes a three-sided culvert top section having a pre-stressed top slab, a first sidewall and a second sidewall. The first and the second sidewalls extend orthogonally from opposite ends of the pre-stressed top slab, and the first and the second sidewalls each include a free end that has at least one male or female connector. The pre-stressed concrete box culvert includes a three-sided culvert bottom section having a pre-stressed bottom slab and a third sidewall and a fourth sidewall. The third and the fourth sidewalls extend orthogonally from opposite ends of the pre-stressed bottom slab, and the third and the fourth sidewalls each include a free end that has at least one male or female connector to mate with the at least one corresponding male or female connector arranged at one of the respective free ends of the first and the second sidewalls.
Modular storm water management systems and methods of assembling the same
A storm water drain system and methods of assembling the same are provided. The system can be arranged to provide a water management function such as retention, detention, conveyance, or infiltration. The system can include a plurality of support modules positioned adjacent to one another to form a top deck, a bottom deck, and an interior space between the top deck and the bottom deck. The plurality of support modules can include a support module that has a bottom corbel extending from an outer surface of the support module. The bottom corbel can be located within the interior space and have a surface that contacts a portion of the bottom deck.

Dome stormwater chamber
This disclosure relates generally to stormwater management and, more particularly, to a stormwater chamber with a continuous curvature. The stormwater chamber may comprise a chamber body with a chamber wall, an apex, a base, and a first and second opening. The chamber wall may include a continuous curvature from the apex of the chamber body to the first and second openings and a continuous curvature from the apex of the chamber body to the base.
