The disclosure relates to an interference noise-control unit comprising a housing to be secured on a sound arresting wall. The housing comprises a hollow compartment comprising at least one first channel and at least one second channel, wherein the first channel has a first channel height A and a first channel length B, and wherein the second channel has a second channel height A and a second channel length B, and wherein the first channel height A is different from the second channel height A.

NOISE BARRIER
20250283283 · 2025-09-11 ·

A noise barrier including a front wall, a rear wall, and two opposite and spaced apart side walls which extend from the front wall to the rear wall. A compartment is enclosed by at least the front wall, the rear wall, and the side walls. A channel is located spaced apart from the enclosed compartment, wherein the channel has an inlet for enabling a part of an approaching sound wave to enter and propagate through the channel, and an outlet through which said part of the sound wave is enabled to leave the channel so as to interfere with the original part of the sound wave that propagates above the noise barrier. The inlet is located in the front wall and faces a noise source area. The outlet is located at a vertically higher level than the inlet and rearward of the front wall.

The present invention relates to a noise barrier wall panel that is lighter and more structurally sound than existing concrete noise barrier wall panels. The panel has a metal frame that is reinforced via metal strapping in key areas to prevent sagging. The panel has a plurality of layers forming a laminate that can be fixedly attached to the frame. A finish coating layer may have a plurality of designs, logos, symbols, or textures which may mimic building materials or scenery.

Post for a sound wall and sound wall employing the same

A lateral support device for stabilizing an elongate foundation post installed in a substrate. The lateral support device may include at least one engagement member for engaging the elongate foundation post. The lateral support device may also include a support plate extending from the at least one engagement member. The support plate may have a plate width greater than a post width of the elongate foundation post. The support plate may be slidable relative to the foundation post in an elongate direction when the at least one engagement member engages at least a portion of the elongate foundation post. When the engagement member is in an engaged position, at least a portion of the support plate is below the grade of the substrate.

SOUND INSULATION DEVICE WITH VIBROACOUSTIC METAMATERIALS

A sound insulation device (1) for reducing sound transmission, comprising an arrangement of mechanical resonators (2), which each contain at least one vibrating mass (3) and a spring element (4), wherein the mechanical resonators (2) are each tuned such that each resonator has at least one natural frequency in a relevant frequency range, wherein the arrangement of mechanical resonators (2) is configured such that it generates at least one stop band for the propagation of waves in the relevant frequency range.

RECONFIGURABLE ACOUSTIC METAMATERIALS, RECONFIGURABLE NOISE BARRIERS, AND METHODS OF TUNING NOISE BARRIERS

Reconfigurable acoustic metamaterials, reconfigurable noise barriers, and methods of tuning noise barriers. A reconfigurable acoustic metamaterial for a noise barrier includes one or more phononic crystals formed with a two-dimensional phase-transforming cellular material. A reconfigurable noise barrier may be formed with the reconfigurable acoustic metamaterial. The phase-transforming cellular material allows the phononic crystals to be tuned by applying in-plane forces to either expand or collapse the two-dimensional phase-transforming cellular material two-dimensionally in the plane of the phase-transforming cellular material.
