Magnetic marker installation method
To install, in or on a road surface of a road, a magnetic marker having retained in its outer perimeter an RFID tag including an antenna for wireless communication, an arrangement step of accommodating the magnetic marker in an accommodation hole provided to be bored in the road surface and a formation step of providing the magnetic marker with a protecting part for isolating the antenna from water are performed. With these steps, even if the periphery of the magnetic marker is submerged in water after installation, high communication performance of the RFID tag can be kept.
RAILWAY ROADBED DFORMATION DETECTION AND EARLY WARNING SYSTEM
A system for detecting and pre-warning railway roadbed deformation includes: a control box and an optical fiber-pressure sensor group. The optical fiber-pressure sensor group is formed by disposing a plurality of optical fiber-pressure sensors into a cuboid shape, and is buried in the railway roadbed for detecting magnitude of roadbed deformation in each direction. The direction of the deformation can be acknowledged easily, allowing the staff to eliminate potential risks purposefully. A time series prediction algorithm is performed to forecast a trend of the roadbed deformation in each direction, such that the staff may purposefully overhaul and correct the tracks where the roadbed is deformed excessively. At the same time, the staff may overhaul the track before the magnitude of the roadbed deformation reaches a predetermined value. Potential safety hazards may be eliminated in advance, ensuring the safety for the operation of the railroad.

Marker system
A marker system (1) including a sensor array (21) for detecting a magnetic marker laid in a road, a tag reader (34) which acquires marker position information indicating a laying position of the magnetic marker, an IMU (22) which estimates a relative position of a vehicle by inertial navigation calculation, and a control unit (32) which performs an arithmetic process for identifying a position of the vehicle based on the laying position of the detected magnetic marker, and also identifies the position of the vehicle after passage over the magnetic marker based on a relative position of the vehicle estimated by the IMU (22), thereby allowing stable identification of its own vehicle position without being affected by surrounding environment.

MAGNETIC MARKER
A magnetic marker to be laid in or on a road to achieve driving support control such as lane departure warning for warning departure of a vehicle from a lane and so forth, is a magnetic marker in which an RFID tag having an antenna for transmitting or receiving electric waves for wireless communication is retained in a magnet forming a magnetism generation source. The magnetic marker further includes a protective cover which prevents proximity of water to the antenna of the RFID tag and isolates the antenna from water. Thus, more information can be stably provided to a vehicle side.
