SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SNOW CONVERSION
A snow conversion system for removal of snow from an access surface includes a mixing tank and a conveyor apparatus fluidly connected to the mixing tank for transferring the snow from the access surface into the mixing tank. The system also includes a fluid delivery arrangement for injecting a chemical agent into the mixing tank to combine the chemical agent with the transferred snow and thereby generate a solution of the melted snow and the chemical agent. The system additionally includes a mixer for agitating and mixing the snow and the injected chemical agent in the mixing tank to thereby further facilitate melting of the snow in the mixing tank. The system further includes a fluid nozzle in fluid communication with the mixing tank for dispensing the solution of the melted snow and the chemical agent onto the access surface to thereby provide de-icing and/or anti-icing of the access surface.
Dual rotor spreader system
A spreader for broadcasting granular or particulate material over a surface includes a dual rotor configuration, a material deflection system, and a portable electronic device holder. The material deflection system includes components for deflecting material broadcasted by each of the rotors. The spreader includes a walking speed indicator to inform the user whether the current speed is too fast, too slow, or within an acceptable reference range.
System to remove snow and ice from pavement and method therefor
A system that is towed behind a vehicle to remove snow and ice from pavement. The system includes a trailer. The trailer includes a longitudinal substantially rigid frame structure, a trailer hitch connected to a front end of the trailer for selective connection-disconnection to the vehicle, and a suspension appliance connected to a rear portion of the trailer to separate at least a rear portion of the frame structure from the pavement. At least two additive snow and ice removal tools are connected to the frame structure and located underneath the trailer and over the pavement, each of the tools enabling a different type of snow and ice removal from the pavement when towing the system behind the vehicle to remove snow and ice from the pavement.
Salt, sand, and ice melt spreader system
A system for spreading material on a surface comprises a housing having a closed bottom and an open top to allow the material to be loaded into the housing and to store the material. A pair of interior walls are spaced from one another and extend between a first end of the housing and a second end of the housing. A dispenser is selectively coupled to the housing via an interlocking connection between the housing and the dispenser to allow the dispenser to be removed from the housing to define a disassembled position and to be attached to the housing to define an assembled position. The interlocking connection is formed by a sliding connection between the housing and the dispenser adjacent the first end.
Drop spreader chutes, drop spreader assemblies and spreading vehicles
A chute for a drop spreader assembly that includes a body having a vertical axis. A funnel portion of the body has an open top to receive flowable material, a dispensing chute portion of the body has a distal dispensing opening and extending along an angle with respect to the vertical axis, and a plurality of directional vanes of the body protrudes into a flowpath within the dispensing chute portion to direct flowable material to an even distribution pattern through the distal dispensing opening. In some forms, the dispensing chute portion can be divided into a central portion and lateral portions separated from the central portion by gaps adapted to receive structure associated with a snow removal device therethrough. Each of the central and lateral portions can have a plurality of directional vanes protruding into a flowpath thereof.
Bearing for a sand/salt spreader
A pillow block assembly for a sand and/or salt spreader includes a housing having a central body and two mounting flanges disposed on opposing sides of the central body, the mounting flanges extending outwardly from the central body, the housing being composed of PBT or a PBT-based composite, the housing having a bore which extends through the central body in a transverse direction; and a bearing positioned within the bore, the bearing includes at least one ball bearing or at least one roller bearing, the bearing being composed of stainless steel and configured to receive a spinner shaft of the sand and/or salt spreader. The PBT or PBT-based composite housing is mountable within an interior of a chute of the sand and/or salt spreader via the mounting flanges.
SYSTEM FOR APPLYING SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL AND TRACTION-IMPROVING PRODUCTS
A snow and ice removal system is disclosed. The system includes a container element and a strap element wherein both ends of the strap element are affixed to the same side of the container element. The user can place his arm through a loop in the strap and secure the strap over his shoulder. Securing the strap at two points on the same side enables the container apparatus to be carried in a horizontal position relative to the ground surface. For example, the container element may be carried in a position substantially parallel to the ground enabling the user to readily access the ice removal product. The user can easily reach in to grab the product and apply it.
Method and System for Adaptive Control Of An Industrial Vehicle During A Road Surface Treatment Operation
A method for controlling an industrial vehicle comprising the steps of: detecting a physical feature that determines a local narrowing or a widening of said road route; calculating treatment parameters of the road surface adapted to be used in the presence of said physical feature; calculating an estimated time for reaching said physical feature; calculating a time interval value required for a complete implementation of the second treatment parameters; and starting the implementation of the second treatment parameters at a time that is equal to the estimated time excluding the time interval of complete implementation.
Four wheel drive, skid steer snow vehicle with snow plow blade
A snow plow is pivotally mounted to a tractor by a compound mount allowing for multiple blade positions. The mount has an inner portion pivotally mounted about a first horizontal axis to the front of the tractor and an outer portion pivotally mounted about a vertical axis to the inner portion. The plow blade is pivotally mounted about a second horizontal axis to the outer portion. Deicer nozzles spray liquid and a spreader distributes salt and other materials in front of the front wheels of the tractor.
De-icing apparatus
An apparatus configured to be secured to a shovel and provide distribution of material during use of the shovel. The present invention includes a body having a hollow interior volume. The body has an upper end with and opening providing access to the interior volume. The lower end of the body includes a first portion and second portion that extend in opposing directions. A plurality of apertures are formed in the first portion and second portion of the body so as to provide spreading of a material as the shovel is utilized. The body is releasably secured to a mount wherein the mount is secured to the handle of the shovel. The mount includes a pair of support arms that are configured to cradle the lower end of the body. The body includes a slot formed therein that is operable to be releasably secured to a clip on the mount.
