Oil skimmer apparatus and method
An oil skimmer apparatus and method for removing oil from the surface of water, comprising a platform having left and right side walls, a rear wall, a front opening, a floor, and a bottom, one or more ballasts which adjust the platform floor relative to a level of oil on the water surface, wherein the oil flows from the front opening across the floor to the rear wall, a rear location near the rear wall to collect the oil from the platform floor; and a pump connected to the rear location that removes the oil from the rear location to a storage area. The skimmer vessel can work stationary in the water, and does not require a propellor means, as the oil will continue to flow into the skimmer as the oil is pumped out of the rear by the gravity flow to the rear of the vessel.
Subsea live hydrocarbon fluid retrieval system and method
Disclosed is a subsea live hydrocarbon fluid retrieval system and method. The system and method include the ability to depressurize the fluid while enacting controlled venting of the gas entrained in the fluid during a controlled ascent to the surface from the seabed. The system and method do not require ancillary equipment at surface for management of gas or pressure. The fluid arrives at surface with minimal gas and pressure.

Floating oceanic debris collection device and complex floating oceanic debris collection device
A floating oceanic debris collection device may include a circular base, a debris collection unit, and a debris storage unit. The debris collection unit may include a blade erected on an upper surface of the base and an arm extending in an outward direction to a rotation direction side. The debris storage unit may include an annular inner peripheral float installed on a lower surface of the base, an inlet penetrating a peripheral surface of the inner peripheral float, and an outlet penetrating the upper surface of the base. An entirety of the base may be configured to rotate via receiving wind on the sea with the blade. The arm may be configured to scrap debris floating on a sea surface inward. The inlet may be configured to introduce the debris to an inside. The outlet may be configured to facilitate removal of the debris from the debris storage unit.

Oil skimmer
An apparatus for removing oil or other pollutants from the surface of water, comprising a platform having a left side wall, a right side wall, a rear wall, a front opening, a floor, and a bottom, one or more ballasts which adjust the platform floor relative to a level of oil on the water surface, wherein the oil flows from the front opening across the floor to the rear wall, a rear location near the rear wall to collect the oil from the platform floor; and a pump connected to the rear location that removes the oil from the rear location to a storage area which does not affect the ballast of the platform. The skimmer vessel can work stationary in the water, and does not require a propeller means, as the oil will continue to flow into the skimmer as the oil is pumped out of the rear by the gravity flow to the rear of the vessel.
Over grate filter apparatus and method
An over grate filter for covering a grate and filtering storm water runoff is claimed and described. The over grate filter of the invention helps to control the flow of waterborne sediment and pollutants into the storm water grate, and it also serves to reduce the amount of sediment entering drainage systems. The invention may be fabricated from any filtration fabrics, including woven and non-woven fabrics. The selection of the specific filter fabric used in the invention depends on the anticipated storm water flow velocities, the anticipated pollutant volume and the expected maintenance schedule. The over grate filter of the invention may comprise multiple layers of filter material and a supporting inner core that enables the filter to lie flat on the storm water grate, providing improved wear resistance against foot and vehicle traffic and street sweeping activity over the prior art methods for filtering storm water.
Duckweed removal and collection device
Apparatus for removal and collection of duckweed from a body of water comprising an engine, a turbine duckweed collection assembly having a housing with a duckweed collection inlet, a duckweed discharge outlet, and a well located between collection inlet and discharge outlet, a series of spaced elements supported on a rotatable shaft and located within well with the shaft connected to the combustible engine to rotationally drive spaced elements within well to create a vortex pumping action in the body of water drawing free floating duckweed into collection inlet, through well and out from discharge outlet, a platform supporting combustible engine and turbine duckweed collection assembly in an upright condition, and a collection manifold assembly connected to discharge outlet and includes a water permeable collection bag receiving and collecting duckweed while allowing water to escape therethrough and return back to the body of water.

Nonfloating oil fence boom
A Nonfloating Oil Fence Boom is disclosed for containing heavy or sinking oils which migrate on an underwater floor. The Non-Floating Oil (NFO) Fence Boom is comprised of a vertical section, a horizontal section that abuts an underwater floor, a buoyant section and a ballast section. The ballast causes the horizontal section to sink and form a seal with the underwater floor, the buoyant section in engineered to provide only enough buoyant force to maintain the vertical section in an upright perpendicular position while not breaking the horizontal sections seal with the underwater floor thus preventing heavy oils from passing below or beyond the fence.
