Flow Barrier to Prevent Infiltration of Wastewater from Wastewater Disposal Ponds
A flow barrier for wastewater disposal ponds or pits used in oil and gas operations. The flow barrier includes a flake component, a fiber component, and a granular component. The disposal pond flow barrier may prevent the infiltration or leakage of aqueous fluids from the wastewater disposal ponds into the surrounding environment and ecosystems. A process for manufacturing and using the flow barrier in a wastewater disposal pond is also provided.
Thermal Pest Barrier for Structures
The present invention provides a novel method of protecting simple to very complex structures that have a foundation sitting on soil from penetration by crawling insects or other pests. This is accomplished by encircling the structure to be protected with a strip of material that is capable of being heated sufficiently that the temperature of its outer surface is high enough that insects or other pests will not come into contact or pass over it and thereby will not enter the structure. Crawling insects that will be prevented from entering a structure include but are not limited to termites, millipedes, ants, and cockroaches.

INTEGRAL POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE GRIDS, THE METHOD OF MANUFACTURE, AND USES THEREOF
An integral polymer grid with a plurality of interconnected, oriented polyethylene terephthalate strands and an array of openings therein is made from a polyethylene terephthalate sheet-like starting material having perforations or indentations therein that form the openings when the sheet-like material is uniaxially or biaxially stretched. The grid has a higher tensile strength to weight ratio and a higher creep reduced strength to weight ratio than corresponding ratios associated with a grid made from a non-polyethylene terephthalate starting material.

Mounting device for inserting insulation holders into insulation material, where the mounting device comprises a drive head adapted to drive the insulation holder through a central opening of the head portion of the mounting device, where the central opening is provided with a threaded portion, where the lead pitch of the threaded portion is at least 30 millimetres. The advantage of the invention is that insulation holders can be inserted into insulation material in an easy and cost-effective way. An insulation holder can be driven completely through the central opening since the insulation holder does not have a protruding head. The insulation holder is provided with a thread corresponding to the thread of the central opening, such that the insulation holder is screwed into the insulation material.
