An ornamental article includes a single piece of metal wire. The ornamental article includes a single piece of organic fiber twine knotted around the metal wire to produce an elongate member with first and second ends. The ornamental article further include at least one crimp connector located on at least one of the first and second ends. The ornamental article further includes a clasp located on one of the first and second ends for connecting to the other of the first and second ends.

The disclosed wedding ring necklace pendant includes the necklace, a retainer ring, the wedding ring the ring holder pendant, the pendant attachments, the retaining rod and the retaining rod rings. The disclosed articulated cross pendant according to various embodiments may comprise a necklace capable of being worn around the neck of a user and a cross pendant attachable to the necklace. The cross pendant may comprise a first component and a second component. The first component may comprise a first bar and a second bar orthogonally coupled to the first bar. The second bar may comprise a first arm and a second arm extending in an opposite direction form the first arm. The second component may be attachable to the first component and may comprise a ring and a third arm coupled to the ring. The first bar may extend through the ring.

A low-power mobile telephony alert system and an alert device. The alert device has a communication interface configured to establish a low-power communication link with a mobile device for transmitting status data to the mobile device, and a telephony-enabled communication linked with the mobile device for initiating telephony from the mobile device while in locked mode. The alert device can initiate a status check request to third party contact devices before escalating to connect to the mobile device from locked mode to initiate telephony to an emergency service. The alert device is compact and can be incorporated into an article of jewelry or a wearable loop member.

A jewelry closure mechanism (e.g., clasp) may include a locking receptacle and a locking pin that operate together to provide a closure mechanism for a piece of jewelry. A holder for a feather has a coil portion. The coil portion has a center axis, an exterior, and an interior. The interior of the coil portion is configured to receive a shaft of the feather inserted into the coil portion along the center axis. The holder has a socket cup connector portion extending from the coil portion. The socket cup connector portion has an inner leg having a first region extending axially relative to the coil portion, and a second region extending in a direction away from the inner leg first region and away from the exterior of the coil portion. The inner leg first region is spaced from the exterior of the coil portion at a distance such that the inner leg first region and the exterior of the coil portion are resiliently engageable with a wall of a socket cup when the holder is releasably attached to the socket cup.
