Wire shaping tool and methods of creating shaped items
A wire shaping tool and method of using the tool to reshape wire, including the discrete sections of wire in a wire mesh panel, is provided. The tool includes a pair of levers joined at a fulcrum positioned closer to one end of the levers, a pair of jaws on one side of the fulcrum, and a pair of handles on the other side. The first jaw can include an elongate body with a concave surface having a pair of opposing lateral edges. The second jaw can include a complementary convex surface configured to converge toward contacting the concave surface of the first jaw. The concave and complementary convex surfaces can transform the shape of a wire positioned between the jaws when they are actuated. The second jaw can include a third shaping component that allows for the simultaneous reshaping of two adjacent wire sections in a wire mesh panel.
COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED METHOD OF GENERATING AN ARTICLE OF MANUFACTURE
This invention relates to a computer-implemented method of generating an article of manufacture. The method comprises the steps of receiving date and location data relating to a user event and thereafter accessing a star catalogue, determining the position of the stars relative to the date and location data, and projecting the star positions onto a two-dimensional (2D) plane. Once the star positions have been projected onto a 2D plane, the method comprises the steps of generating a computer-readable file for the star positions, providing the file to a laser engraving machine, and the laser-engraving machine engraving the article of manufacture according to the computer-readable file. The article of manufacture is preferably an item of jewellery such as a pendant. The method provides an efficient and cost-effective way of manufacturing a bespoke, high value item.

Jewelry image projection and method
An article of jewelry comprising; a frame; and a decorative element secured within the frame, wherein two-dimensional array of optical phase shifting structures is embedded in the decorative element; wherein the two-dimensional array of optical phase shifting structures project an image when illuminated with a light source.
Accessories for which small gemstones can be utilized and method for manufacturing same
The present invention relates to accessories for which small gemstones can be utilized and a method for manufacturing same. The technical gist of the present invention is to firmly fix small gemstones, which are difficult to use due to the small size thereof, to accessories (rings, bracelets, or earrings) by a simple method, and minimize the deformation of earrings due to heat by welding a wire to the earrings with laser, thereby reducing manufacturing cost and increasing completeness of products (accessories).
Bezel setting with color enhancement layer
Jewelry bezel settings have a band defining an aperture shaped to receive a stone. The band has a flange defining an upper opening and a pavilion-facing interior surface defining a lower opening. The flange extends radially inward a pre-selected distance to sit on a top edge of a girdle of the stone, and the pavilion-facing interior surface is angled to seat against facets of the stone. A channel is formed in and extends around an interior perimeter of the band between the flange and the pavilion-facing interior surface, and a cured material fills the channel and defines a plurality of pavilion facet-mating surfaces. The cured material defines a layer having a preselected color selected to enhance a brilliance of the stone.
DECORATIVE ARTICLES HAVING A CHANGEABLE OBSERVED COLOUR EFFECT
A decorative article (100) having an observed colour effect that is changeable depending on observer (200) viewing angle, the article comprising: a decorative element (110) comprising a front side (114) facing a forward direction and a back side (112) opposite the front side facing a rearward direction, wherein the back side comprises a back surface (113) having a first region (122) and a second region (124) surrounding the first region; a first coating (132) arranged on the first region of the back surface, the first coating causing a first colour effect (102); and a second coating (134) arranged on the second region of the back surface, the second coating causing a second colour effect (104) that differs from the first colour effect.
Multi-coated metallic articles
Provided is a jewelry ring comprising a substrate, a first coating of a metallic nitride or a metallic boride, and an external metallic coating. Also provided is a metallic article comprising a substrate comprising tungsten carbide, cobalt, tungsten, titanium, titanium carbide, zirconium, tantalum or aluminum; a first coating of a metallic nitride or a metallic boride; and an external metallic coating.
External component made of composite material and method for manufacturing the same
A method for manufacturing an external component for horology or jewellery made of a composite material including a reinforcement formed of a preferably perforated structure and a matrix composed of a synthetic material, the method including the successive steps consisting in: a) making a 3D file of the reinforcement, b) forming the reinforcement by additive manufacturing, c) embedding all or part of the reinforcement in the synthetic material. An external component for horology or jewellery can be made of a composite material including a matrix composed of a synthetic material and a reinforcement having a perforated structure obtained by additive manufacturing.
