WATER MAIN FLUSHING WITH HIGH PRESSURE JETTING AND DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
A high pressure jetting system includes a recirculating unit connected to an isolated section of a water supply system which remains under system pressure. The recirculating unit includes a filter unit and a pump unit generating a circulating flow of water. A first pig launch and recovery apparatus couples a first hydrant to the recirculating unit and a second pig launch and recovery apparatus couples a second hydrant to the recirculating unit. A camera unit including a camera and drogue chute enters through the first apparatus and travels in a flushing flow direction to the second apparatus. The drogue chute is then removed from the camera. The camera then couples to a jetting unit having a jetting head and hose and re-enters through the second apparatus. The jetting unit emits a plurality of water jets to move in a counter-current flow direction and remove material from the water mains.
Distributed utility system
A distributed utility system includes water source supply lines capable of being placed in fluid communication with a separate water source, water discharge lines capable of being placed in fluid communication with a separate water discharge destination, a water source and destination control manifold to allow selected water source supply lines to be placed in fluid communication with selected water discharge lines, and a storm water collection and distribution system. The storm water system includes a storm water collection conduit and a collected storm water discharge line in fluid communication with the storm water collection conduit, and the storm water discharge line can be placed in fluid communication with the plurality of water discharge lines via the control manifold. The distributed utility system further includes a utility line disposed within at least one of the water source supply lines, water discharge lines and collected storm water discharge line.
Building utility floodwater isolation system
Disclosed herein is a utility isolation system designed for residential, commercial and industrial usage. The system comprises a bidirectional valve connected to a sewer line which valve responds to a change in the level of a body of water. The system prevents high water levels from entering municipality's sewer infrastructure systems. The isolation system monitors levels of a body of water and also prevents releases from hazardous sewer waste entering rivers, lakes, and coastal waterways. The isolation system provides protections from waste water back flowing into homes and buildings, and causing electrical shorts, or natural gas releases, and blocks potable water lines from filling plumbing devices with open drains such as lavatories and toilets during a high water level event. The system can be remotely activated and monitored by a user, a government office, or service provider via SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or like system. The isolation system's objective is to also promote development in low lying areas that were once denied. The system can also improve a municipality's compliance with EPA issues, and allows for service interrupts from government agencies due to, or for example, non-payment of services, evacuations, contamination of potable water supplies, fire, and or other disasters.
FLOW IMAGING AND MONITORING FOR SYNCHRONIZED MANAGEMENT OF WIDE AREA DRAINAGE
A flow imaging and monitoring system for synchronized management of wide area drainage that includes an interposer for supporting monitoring and management equipment in a manhole, a module for illuminating water flowing in pipes at the base of the manhole, a module for monitoring responses to reflected light, a sealed and rechargeable battery pack, and a data analysis and management system to interpret data streams in real time. The interposer can be adjusted to fit the diameter of the manhole and can be adjusted to be placed under the manhole cover. The module for illuminating the flowing water can be adjusted to generate various frequencies. The support structures for the modules can be adjusted for varying pitch, roll and yaw with respect to the manhole. The data analysis and management system is supported by cloud computing.

Marine waste water dump control system
A marine waste water dump control system for noncommercial nonmetallic or fiberglass boats that provides a system and process for automatically monitoring the time, exact location, and quantity of blackwater, greywater or bilgewater (marine water waste) is dumped from such a water vessel and for requesting and receiving approval or disapproval for dumping marine water waste into restricted or unrestricted waters, including oil water and the like. The instant invention has an MS (Automatic Information System) or comparable communication system that operates at approximately 160 MHz for determining the exact distance from shore and communicating with marine authorities, such as the Coast Guard, before activating the dump control system and communication. The dump control system of the instant invention automatically stores all dumping related information in memory for access by authorities at any time in the event a vessel does not include an AIS or a working AIS. The instant invention also determines from existing shoreline beacons and a triangulation method the exact distance a water vessel is from the shore. The system may be applied to any and all holding tanks on a marine vessel containing pollutants such as black water, gray water, bilge water, oil water and the like.
Integral dual cleaner camera drum systems and methods
Cable handling devices, methods and systems are provided for securing and deploying, or retracting, one or more cables or hoses into or out of a pipe or cavity allowing inspection of the pipe or cavity. The cables and/or hoses may be coupled and moved together, or decoupled enabling them to be moved independently. A hand-held device with a housing for at least partially enclosing one or more cables or hoses, at least one coupling mechanism integrally attached to the housing, and a coupling control for coupling and decoupling the one or more cables or hoses may be provided. One or more of the cables may be connected to a camera disposed at the distal end of a cable thereby facilitating inspection of the pipe or cavity. Tools such as cutting devices or a jetter may be provided at the end of the one or more cables and/or hoses.
