Motor dampener and drive train for plumbing tools
Motor dampening provisions are described. Incorporation and use of the motor dampener(s) in a rotary type drain cleaning machine enables elimination of a clutch in the machine. Also described are clutch-free drive systems using the motor dampener(s). Also described are torque countering members that are used in conjunction with the motor dampener(s).
Cleanout conduit valve assemblies and installations
Cleanout conduit valve installations may include at least one cleanout housing having a cleanout housing interior and configured for placement in the cleanout conduit hole with the at least one cleanout conduit extending into the cleanout housing interior. A cleanout housing opening may overlie the cleanout housing interior. An openable cleanout housing door may be disposed in the cleanout housing opening. At least one cleanout conduit valve assembly may be configured to be disposed in fluid communication with the at least one cleanout conduit in the cleanout housing interior of the at least one cleanout housing. The at least one cleanout conduit valve assembly may include a valve housing configured for mounting on the at least one cleanout conduit. A valve mount may be carried by the valve housing. A valve may include a valve arm pivotally carried by the valve mount. A valve stop may extend from the valve arm. A valve body may be carried by the valve arm. The valve body may have a sealing surface. The valve may be positional between a closed valve position configured to seal the valve housing and a full open valve position configured to unseal the valve housing. The valve stop may engage the valve body in the full open valve position.

PIPE CLEANER ASSEMBLY
In one aspect there is disclosed a pipe cleaner assembly (10) operatively adapted to be located within a pipe obstructed with plant material. The pipe cleaner assembly (10) includes a cutting head (12) longitudinally extending about a cutting head axis (16) between a driving end (18) and a cutting end (20). The cutting head (12) defines a driving element slot (22) operatively adapted to hold an elongate driving element. The pipe cleaner assembly (10) further includes a cutting formation (14) operatively secured to the cutting head (12). The cutting formation (14) outwardly extends from the cutting end (18) of the cutting head (12) so that in use torque applied to the cutting head (12) by the driving element causes the cutting head (12) and as a result the cutting formation (14) to rotate about the cutting head axis (16) to cut plant material within the pipe.
DRAIN CLEANER CABLE DECOUPLER TOOL
A cable decoupler tool configured to uncouple a drain cleaner cable coupling. The cable decoupler tool includes a mouth configured to receive a circumferential portion of a cable, a pin key extending from the mouth, and an actuator movable relative to the mouth to uncouple the drain cleaner cable coupling.

DRAIN CLEANER
A drain cleaner assembly including a base unit having a housing, a first portion of a drive arrangement supported by the housing, and a motor coupled to the drive arrangement, where the motor is operable to selectively drive the drive arrangement. A drum unit is removably coupled to the base unit. The drum unit includes a rotatable drum, a cable stored within the drum and selectively extendable out of the drum and into a drain, and a second portion of the drive arrangement, where the second portion of the drive arrangement includes a driven shaft extending along an axis of rotation of the rotatable drum, where the driven shaft is rotatably fixed to the rotatable drum, and wherein the first portion of the drive arrangement is configured to drive the driven shaft and the rotatable drum when the drum unit is coupled to the base unit.
Light system for a sewer cleaning vehicle
A vehicle includes at least one hose extending from the vehicle and configured to extend below ground through a manhole, and a light system. The light system includes a storage member, such as a retractable reel, coupled to the vehicle, a flexible line wrapped at least partially around the storage member, and a light source coupled to the flexible line. The storage member is adapted to selectively extend and retract the light source together with the hose below ground, and the light source is storable on the vehicle adjacent the storage member. The light source has a self-contained power source. In some systems, the flexible line and/or the light source are removable from the vehicle so they can be moved to a remote location from the vehicle.
Whip head having filament-holding passageways
A whip head tool for cleaning ducts has passageways that hold filaments, such as thermoplastic monofilaments. A straight passageway has a reduced diameter portion which is a choke or pinch point, to deform locally a filament that is pushed through the passageway. A V shape passageway has a choke or pinch point which is the apex, also to deform locally a filament. The ends of a filament extend from the passageway openings and the choking or pinching frictionally holds the filament from flying out of the passageway when the user rotates the tool for use.
