METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLEANING LARGE PIPES, SUCH AS STORM DRAIN CONDUITS
Apparatuses and methods for cleaning accumulated sediment from storm drain conduits and other large-diameter conduits are disclosed. A nozzle assembly is arranged to deliver a high-volume flow of water at a pressure high enough to loosen sediment from the interior of a conduit and to propel the nozzle assembly and an associated nozzle feed hose upstream within a conduit being cleaned. Water from the nozzle assembly flushes the sediment downstream and is then collected, partially cleaned, and reused in the nozzle assembly. Mud and clay may be left in the water to increase its specific gravity and viscosity. A self-contained portable and mobile system includes a tank and apparatus for removal of high concentrations of entrained or suspended solids, and a pump and conduits for delivering a high-volume flow of water, containing quantities of suspended solids, to the nozzle assembly.
Spring assemblies with variable flexibility for use with push-cables and pipe inspection systems
Push-cables and associated apparatus for pipe inspection systems are disclosed. In one embodiment a pipe inspection system includes a camera head, a push-cable including an outer covering enclosing a plurality of electrical conductors for transmitting signals and/or power between the camera head and an electronic device operatively coupled to the push-cable, and a spring assembly disposed about the push-cable near the distal end where the spring assembly comprises a spring with a tapered flex section having a varying cross-sectional area and/or a varying cross-sectional shape.

ADAPTIVE CLEANING DEVICE
The cleaning device is for cleaning the inner surface of pipes. The cleaning device has two sleeves on a flexible shaft and chains extending between the sleeves. A forward end sleeve is not attached to the shaft and is biased by a spring on the shaft. The cleaning device can be adapted to different pipe sizes by altering rotation speed of the cleaning device. High rotation speed compresses the spring and moves the chains further away from the shaft to enable cleaning of larger diameter pipes with the cleaning device.
Single-drive bidirectional-crawling pipe-cleaning robot
The present invention discloses a single-drive bidirectional-crawling pipe-cleaning robot, including a front body assembly, a transmission assembly, and a rear body assembly. The transmission assembly is driven by a single power source, and a transmission effect of a connecting rod mechanism, a gear mechanism, and an equal-dwell cam mechanism is used to implement alternate retraction and support of the front body assembly and the rear body assembly in a radial direction and a telescopic motion in an axial direction between the front body assembly and the rear body assembly and at the same time implement synchronous rotation of a dredging cutter head, so as to implement bidirectional crawling and pipe cleaning work of the robot along a pipe. The present invention is stable, reliable, compact, and practical, and implements single-drive bidirectional crawling and pipe cleaning in a pipe having a greatly changing pipe diameter, so that the obstacle negotiation performance and adaptability to pipe diameter changes of an in-pipe robot are effectively improved, the endurance of the in-pipe robot is improved, and practical engineering significance in cleaning of a horizontal pipe having a greatly changing pipe diameter is provided.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEANING SEWER PIPELINE
The group of inventions can be used for removing deposits B sewers and their simultaneous removal of various pipelines and cleaning process provides mechanization and sewage pipe work, eliminate the need for disassembly of the drain system and manual cleaning. With actuator mounted outside sewer pipe, is moved along the sewer c associated drive the movable member and fixed therein Ha cleaning tool arranged within the sewer pipe. In the initial position will cleaning tool located at the end of the sewer pipe portion is sewer piping connecting the drain pipe to the riser. Upon reaching the final cleaning tool in the positions of the junction of the sewer with the riser and c by the drive of the movable member is moved scraping tool to its original position.
Duct cleaning apparatus
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a duct cleaning apparatus comprising a frame, a coil carriage which is coupled to the frame and configured to rotate around an axis of rotation, a shaft with a first end and a second end, wherein the shaft is configured to rotate within a guide wire cable, a cleaning tool which is connected to the shaft at the first end of the shaft, a drive unit coupled to the second end of the shaft via a gear, and wherein the drive unit, the gear, control electronics and at least one battery are located within the coil carriage.
Method and system for a retractable floodwall system
The present invention relates to a retractable floodwall unit that comprises a foundation unit having a plurality of guide tracks along side walls of the foundation unit, a floodwall panel stowed in the foundation unit; a power system for raising and lowering the floodwall panel, and a plumbing system. The plumbing system is configured to remove ground water from a dry-side of the floodwall unit and flood water that becomes located in the floodwall unit.
High frequency AC-powered drain cleaning and inspection apparatus and methods
Systems, devices, and methods for drain cleaning using high voltage, high frequency AC electrical power supplied through a video push-cable are disclosed. In one embodiment, a drain cleaning system may include a cable for carrying electrical control and/or data signals as well as alternating current (AC) power at a high voltage and high frequency relative to AC mains frequencies.
Drain cleaning systems using sheath protected flexible shaft
A drain cleaning apparatus is described that uses a FlexShaft type drain cleaning cable. The drain cleaning apparatus includes a drum housing, a rotatable cable carrier mounted within an interior of the drum housing and a transmission assembly for transferring rotary power to an end of a FlexShaft cable residing in the interior of the drum housing. Also described are systems using these apparatuses in combination with a rotary power source such as a drill. In addition, various methods of use are described.
