LIGHT SYSTEM FOR A SEWER CLEANING VEHICLE
20210129196 · 2021-05-06 ·

A vehicle includes at least one hose extending from the vehicle and configured to extend below ground through a manhole, and a light system. The light system includes a storage member, such as a retractable reel, coupled to the vehicle, a flexible line wrapped at least partially around the storage member, and a light source coupled to the flexible line. The storage member is adapted to selectively extend and retract the light source together with the hose below ground, and the light source is storable on the vehicle adjacent the storage member. The light source has a self-contained power source. In some systems, the flexible line and/or the light source are removable from the vehicle so they can be moved to a remote location from the vehicle.

RETRACTABLE REEL FOR A TIGER TAIL
20210139269 · 2021-05-13 ·

An illustrated view of an exemplary retractable rope reel device for protecting a tiger tail or jetter hose of a jet truck and trailer mounted unit. The retractable rope reel device keeps the tiger tail in place and stops the jetter hose from dragging or scraping along an edge of a pipe or manhole and causing replacement or leaking of the jetter hose. The retractable rope reel device is useful for protecting users working on the jet truck and trailer from being in the road when retrieving a rope from a side cargo area of the jet truck and trailer. Further, the retractable rope reel device is useful for saving time and energy of the users from retrieving and returning the rope from the jet truck and trailer thus being more efficient and safer in the use of time and costs. The device has a canister with a retractable reel and a trigger on an inside of the canister. The trigger allows retraction of a rope that is coupled to the reel. The rope is coupled to a tiger tail for keeping the tiger tail securely in a desired position. The device has a bracket for attaching the device to a bumper and then can be removed or kept for future use.

EFFLORESCENCE REMOVING CHEMICAL LIQUID
20230406784 · 2023-12-21 ·

The present invention is an efflorescence removing chemical liquid containing hydrochloric acid capable of efficiently dissolving efflorescence even in locations where the efflorescence removal work is performed in an underground space that is not adequately ventilated, i.e., in a nearly enclosed space. In addition, when the amount of hydrochloric acid exceeds 10%, the liquid is designated as a deleterious substance under Japan's Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Act, and hence the wastewater after efflorescence removal cannot be easily disposed of underground or elsewhere. The invention solves all of these problems.

The efflorescence removing chemical liquid in the present invention is made by mixing water, hydrochloric acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid, which makes it possible to dramatically suppress the irritating odor of hydrochloric acid by the action of lactic acid. In addition, when the amount of hydrochloric acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid mixed in a prescribed amount of water is 10% or less by weight, 3.6% or less by weight, and 5% or less by weight, respectively, it is possible to provide a comfortable working condition without causing mental or physical discomfort to workers. Furthermore, the effluent after efflorescence removal can be easily treated even at underground sites by mixing it with natural wastewater or washing water that can be stored onsite as an ordinary substance, not as a deleterious substance.

Apparatus for cleaning pipes having pumping and vacuuming capability

An apparatus for cleaning waste collection systems of solid materials. The apparatus is capable of cleaning waste systems in two known ways. First, a pumping method uses normal and injected water flow to suspend the solids in a slurry. A submersible pump moves the slurry from a collection point up to a pressurized container where the water content of the slurry is decanted and reused as injection water while the particulate material settles to the bottom of the pressurized container. Second, a vacuum system may be used to move the slurry from the waste system to the waste container. The vacuum system creates a negative pressure differential, causing material to be pulled through a vacuum tube and into the waste container. When the container becomes substantially full of solid particles, it may be emptied at a dumpsite.

MOTOR DAMPENER AND DRIVE TRAIN FOR PLUMBING TOOLS
20210041005 · 2021-02-11 ·

Motor dampening provisions are described. Incorporation and use of the motor dampener(s) in a rotary type drain cleaning machine enables elimination of a clutch in the machine. Also described are clutch-free drive systems using the motor dampener(s). Also described are torque countering members that are used in conjunction with the motor dampener(s).

Pipe inspection system with jetter push-cable

Pipe inspection systems including a push-cable, jetter, and camera assembly are disclosed. A jetter nozzle may be configured to spin and/or propel the camera head within a pipe or other cavity. A cutter line may be attached to the camera head to clean obstructions. A sonde may be coupled to a camera head to generate magnetic field signals for use with a buried utility locator to locate a pipe or other cavity into which the camera head is deployed.

DRAIN CABLE DECOUPLER TOOLS

Various decoupler tools are described for disengaging drain cleaning equipment couplings. Such couplings typically include a component secured at an end of a drain cleaning cable and a cutter or other accessory used in a drain cleaning operation. The decoupler tools include one or more pins which are used to retract a spring-actuated plunger in one of the coupling components.

Method and apparatus for cleaning large pipes, such as storm drain conduits
10927539 · 2021-02-23 ·

Apparatus and a method for cleaning accumulated sediment from storm drain conduits and other large-diameter conduits. A nozzle assembly is arranged to deliver a high-volume flow of water at a pressure high enough to loosen sediment from the interior of a conduit and to propel the nozzle assembly and an associated nozzle feed hose upstream within a conduit being cleaned. Water from the nozzle assembly flushes the sediment downstream and is then collected, partially cleaned, and reused in the nozzle assembly. Mud and clay may be left in the water to increase its specific gravity and viscosity. A self-contained portable and mobile system includes a tank and apparatus for removal of high concentrations of entrained or suspended solids, and a pump and conduits for delivering a high-volume flow of water, containing quantities of suspended solids, to the nozzle assembly.
