Dual fitting plank and clip system
09551158 · 2017-01-24 ·

A clip for attaching a deck plank to a surface, comprises an elongated strip having bottom and top opposing surfaces with a leg extending up from said top surface between its ends. The leg has at least one flange projecting out at a location spaced from the top surface. The flange has an underside facing the top surface for engaging and mating with a ledge of a deck plank. The mating deck plank readily attaches to the clip when force is applied generally from the upper surface down on the plank. The deck plank has a bottom recess with an internal ledge or ledges that mates with and snaps onto the flange or flanges of the clip.

Insulating floor underlayment

A flooring material having a textile pad substructure with a density of greater than 10 pounds per cubic foot is provided. The textile pad has reinforcement and binding fibers. The binding fibers are thermoplastic and are used to bind the reinforcement fibers together. The pad is created by heating and compressing a fibrous textile batt so that it has a density of greater than 13 pounds per cubic foot.

A future-enabled rowhouse or similar residential unit is provided that may include a site-adaptable chassis for a rowhouse or similar residential unit construction that can be easily adjusted to varying site conditions (e.g., lot widths and depths) at the time of construction and that allows for cost-effective future reconfiguration of building systems and space configuration over the life of the building.

Method of using interlocking mat with integral ramp
09534399 · 2017-01-03 · ·

The present invention is generally directed to an interlocking modular mat or tile and method of use. The mat comprises a severable core structure with a ramp around its periphery and a connected outer structure. The outer structure surrounding the inner core structure is partitioned into side and corner panels also having ramps internally disposed therein. The novel features of the mat allows it to be cut along several locations to expose the internal ramp structure within each panel, providing a assembled mat system with a secure border around the entire mat. A method of constructing an array of the novel mat panel members involving cutting to expose the internal ramped structure is also disclosed to provide a flooring surface.

Fiber board providing rigidity, sound reduction, and thermal insulation

A fiber board for a building structure is disclosed. The fiber board includes a fiber structure. The fiber structure includes a substrate fiber and a thermoplastic binder fiber. The substrate fiber is bound together by the thermoplastic binder fiber. The thermoplastic binder fiber makes up between 25 percent (%) and 35% by weight of the fiber board.

RESILIENT FLOOR
20250305297 · 2025-10-02 · ·

A method of assembling resilient floorboards is disclosed that includes the step of bending an edge of a floorboard during the assembling. The bending reduces the force required for connection of the edge to another edge of a juxtaposed floorboard. The floorboards May be provided with a mechanical locking system for vertical and horizontal locking of two adjacent floorboards.

Prefabricated building systems and elements thereof

A sustainable, prefabricated building system, including prefabricated wall panels, load bearing beams, and prefabricated roof panels, and methods of assembly are presented herein. In one aspect, a prefabricated building assembly includes a number of prefabricated wall panel subassemblies mounted to a concrete foundation with a desired offset distance between the bottom of each prefabricated wall panel assembly and the foundation. Each prefabricated wall panel includes a metal base angle subframe coupled to structural wood subassembly. In another aspect, a metal base angle subframe includes end caps welded to each end of the structural angle to facilitate weather proofing and isolation of the wall panel assembly from the ground. In some embodiments, a wall panel subassembly includes any of an interior facing finishing layer, one or more utility chases, a weather resistive membrane, an insulation layer, one or more flashing elements, and an exterior finishing layer.
