Lightweight, wood-free structural insulation sheathing
A structural insulation sheathing (SIS) comprises: a first upper facial member, a second lower facial member and an insulation member in intimate, planar contact with both the first upper member and second lower members. The first and second facial members are made from the same reinforcing fiber material less than about 3/16 inch thick. The insulation member comprises a foam layer, said structural insulation sheathing having at least 10×, preferably 15 to 20 times greater strength than its individual components.
Block for use in automated building construction
The present disclosure relates to the building industry and in particular to a block for use in automated building construction. In one aspect, the block comprises a generally cuboid body having a top and a base, a length extending between a pair of opposed ends, and a width extending between a pair of opposed sides; the body including a plurality of hollow cores extending from said top to said base, and arranged in a row between said opposed ends; wherein each core has a rectilinear cross-sectional shape; and wherein the thickness of the block between each pair of adjacent cores is at least double the thickness of the block on all other sides of each core, so that the block is divisible into a plurality of substantially identical block portions, each portion including four walls of substantially uniform wall thickness about its core.

Custom formed panels for transport structures and methods for assembling same
Techniques for providing custom formed panels for transport structures including vehicles and aircraft are disclosed. In one aspect of the disclosure, a panel for a transport structure includes a first face sheet, a second face sheet arranged opposite the first face sheet, the second face sheet comprising a different geometrical profile than the first face sheet to define a space between the first and second face sheets having a variable thickness, a core configured to occupy the space. In another aspect, a node can be additively manufactured to form the custom panels by engaging opposing face sheets. The node has an inlet port for providing a foam-like substance into the space between the face sheets to thereafter solidify into a core.
Floor panel
A floor panel has a rectangular and oblong shape, and includes a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate and forming a decorative side of the floor panel. The top layer is composed of a print provided on a carrier sheet and a transparent thermoplastic layer situated above the print. The substrate has a thickness from 2 to 10 millimeter and forms at least half of the thickness of the floor panel. The substrate is a polyurethane-based substrate and the transparent thermoplastic layer is polyurethane-based. The floor panel has a length of more than 1.1 meters and has a plurality of reinforcing layers situated outside the center line of the substrate. A reinforcing layer may be provided in combination with the substrate and the top layer.
Heat-insulating structural material, and low temperature and ultra-low temperature liquefied gas carrier using the same
The present invention relates to a heat-insulating structural material, which: firstly, can minimize or prevent a thermal bridge by improving the structure of the connection part of the heat-insulating structural material; secondly, improves insulation performance by arranging a vacuum insulation material inside the core layer of the heat-insulating structural material; and thirdly, increases structural stiffness by forming the core layer from a non-foaming polymer material having excellent structural performance, prevents gas from moving in or out of the vacuum insulation material through the air-tight adhesive structure of the core layer, and can improve fire protection performance so as not to be vulnerable to fire, and thus the present invention is universally applicable to fields requiring insulation ability and structural performance.
