Systems, apparatus and methods for mounting panels upon, or to form, a pitched roof, wall or other structure

At least first and second rows of panels may be mounted onto, or to form, at least part of a pitched roof, wall or other structure by mounting a panel support framework onto an underlying structure and arranging the panels so that each panel on the second row is offset upwardly relative to each panel on the first row in a stepped fashion.

INSULATING RADIANT BARRIER FACTORY BONDED TO CELLULOSIC SUBSTRATE
20220282489 · 2022-09-08 ·

An insulating radiant barrier sheathing product formed by directly bonding or applying an insulating radiant barrier (IRB) material to the interior surface (i.e., facing the attic or other interior space) of a wood, wood-based, manufactured wood, or cellulosic panel or structural or sheathing panel. The IRB panel product may be used as a roof sheathing panel, with one or more outer protective and finishing layers applied to the outer surface, such as, but not limited to, an underlayment and roofing shingles. The IRB material may comprise a mixture of a radiant barrier (RB) paint and a granulated insulating material. The granulated insulating material may comprise cork, EPS, XPS, poly-iso, other similar insulating material, or combinations thereof.

BONDING ADHESIVE AND ADHERED ROOFING SYSTEMS PREPARED USING THE SAME
20220112721 · 2022-04-14 ·

A method is provided for forming an adhered membrane roof system that meets Factory Mutual (FM) 4470/4474 standards for wind uplift. The method comprises applying a bond adhesive to a substrate on a roof to form an adhesive layer and applying a membrane directly to the adhesive layer. The bond adhesive includes a moisture-curable polymer.

A multipart underlayment having a cap sheet and base sheet combined to form a pocket for securely holding building materials and environmentally-friendly manufacturing method for manufacturing the same.

Roofing underlayment with enhanced walkability and traction

A roofing underlayment with enhanced walkability and/or traction is provided. The roofing underlayment includes a base layer, a first coating layer adhered to a first surface of the base layer, and a melt-blown nonwoven layer adhered to the first coating layer. The melt-blown nonwoven layer enhances walkability by providing a rough surface on which roofing installers may walk.

PANEL FOR SHEATHING SYSTEM AND METHOD

The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.

HEAT SHRINK COVERING OF BUILT STRUCTURES AND METHOD
20220064972 · 2022-03-03 ·

A method of providing covers over at least a portion of a roof of a storm damaged built structure that includes the steps of: applying a sheet of heat shrinkable film over the portion of the roof, the sheet having a leading edge and a trailing edge and being a film of low density polyethylene including shrinking resins; wrapping portions of the leading edge around a first batten and attaching the first batten to the underside of a first eave or to the facia of the built structure; wrapping portions of the trailing edge around a second batten and attaching the second batten to the underside of a second eave or to the facia of the built structure at a location different than the first batten; and heating the sheet of heat shrinkable film to bring the film into conformity with the portion of the roof, wherein the heating step shrinks the sheet of film tight against the built structure to cover over the portion of the roof.
