Roof Cover System Improvement
A roof cover of a building under construction includes a heat shrinkable film stretched over the roof framing of said building under construction. The film brought into conformity with said roof framing through application of heat. The film may be formed by a number of adjoining sheets or strips of material.
COATED FABRICS INCLUDING EXPANDABLE GRAPHITE
A method for preparing a roofing membrane in the form of a roll, comprising the steps of: providing a polymeric membrane; providing a fabric having a coating disposed thereon; attaching the polymeric membrane to the fabric to form a composite; and rolling the composite. Wherein the coating includes expandable graphite dispersed within a binder.
Modular removable building integrated thermal electric roofing system
An improved modular, removable system of building-integrated solar panel photovoltaics for easy residential and commercial roof installation for generating electrical and thermal energy.
ROOFING UNDERLAYMENT
An underlayment assembly can be installed on a roof. The assembly includes a base substrate that has a first edge portion, a second edge portion apart from the first edge portion, and a middle portion interposed between the first edge portion and the second edge portion. A first adhesive layer is formed over the first edge portion and a first polymeric liner is formed over the first adhesive layer. A second polymeric liner is formed over the second adhesive layer.
INTEGRATED VENTILATION AND FLASHING IN INTEGRATED ROOF SYSTEM WITH ENGINEERED WOOD
A multi-layered integrated roofing plank or panel with a base layer comprising engineered or manufactured wood, a water resistant barrier layer covering at least the outer face of the base layer, and at least one of the edges of the base layer. A texturizing material also may be affixed to, or integrated with, the water resistant barrier layer. The edges of the roofing plank or panel may be configured as part of a joint with adjacent planks or panels, including, but not limited to, shiplap joints, tongue-and-groove joints, bead-and-cove joints, butt joints, or combinations or variations thereof.
Roof Cover Board Derived From Engineered Recycled Content
An improved cover board product with a panel comprised of three discrete layers: a top surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, a bottom surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, and a core layer comprised of discrete paper fragments and polypropylene fragments, which are connected by use of a thermoplastic bonding resin, including polyethylene. The bonding resin is generally attached in a random pattern to less than 100% of the paper fragment and polypropylene fragment surface area. The paper fragments are generally shaped as irregular plates. The polypropylene fragments can have multiple shape types. The two different fragment types are randomly distributed in the core layer relative to each other. The core layer includes small voids in and around the particles, which improves flexibility. The core layer is attached to the top and bottom surface layers by use of a thermoplastic adhesive, including polyethylene.
Synthetic mechanically attached roof underlayment system
An underlayment system for a roof structure including underlayment material disposed in covering relation to a roof deck and a plurality of mechanical fasteners disposed and structured to interconnect the underlayment material to the roof deck. Each mechanical fastener includes an outer plate, an under plate and a connector penetrating through both the outer plate and under plate in secured relation to the roof structure. The under plate is disposed and structured to sealing engage the connector penetrating there through. The under plate is further disposed in engagement with an undersurface of said outer plate and beneath and in segregating relation between an outer peripheral edge of the outer plate and the underlayment material.
Fire Resistant Compositions, Coatings, and Related Methods and Building Assemblies
The invention as disclosed herein includes a composition for increasing the fire resistance of a substrate. The composition is composed of a solvent; a polymer binder; a carbon-based flame retardant; a fire retardant compound, such as a phosphorous based flame retardant compound or a char forming flame retardant; a heat absorbing compound; and a phyllosilicate material. Also included are methods of reducing the flammability of a substrate or of increasing the fire resistance of a substrate by applying the composition of the invention, wherein the inflammability of the substrate is improved when compared to an identical substrate that is not coated with the composition. Fire resistant coatings prepared from the composition of the invention are disclosed. The assemblies described herein exhibit improved fire resistance as compared to an identical assembly that does not include the coating.
PREPREGS, CORES, COMPOSITES AND ARTICLES INCLUDING REPELLENT MATERIALS
Prepregs, cores and composite articles are described that comprise lighter weight materials and/or lower amounts of adhesive than commonly used. In some instances, one or more components of the articles may comprise a repellent material or repellent treatment to reduce the overall absorption rate of adhesive into the components of the article.
