A method of forming a sloped roof can comprise obtaining a base layer comprising at least one of a permeable mesh, woven fabric, non-woven fabric, plastic, foam material or combinations thereof; applying the base layer over a roofing substrate of the sloped roof; and applying a liquid roofing material to the base layer to form a liquid applied roof.

Bird deterrent system
11613893 · 2023-03-28 ·

A pest deterrent system is provided by an elongate flat flexible panel configured to be formed into a compressed bowed shape and installed in the compressed bowed shape onto a portion of a roof support and an underside of roof sheathing. The bowed shape of the installed panel frictionally secures the panel in place adjacent the roof support and the roof sheathing without the use of fasteners.

ROOF AND WALL COVER SYSTEM
20230079708 · 2023-03-16 ·

A method of providing covers over at least a portion of a roof of a storm damaged built structure that includes the steps of: applying a sheet of heat shrinkable film over the portion of the roof, the sheet having a leading edge and a trailing edge and being a film of low density polyethylene including shrinking resins; wrapping portions of the leading edge around a first batten and attaching the first batten to the underside of a first eave or to the facia of the built structure; wrapping portions of the trailing edge around a second batten and attaching the second batten to the underside of a second eave or to the facia of the built structure at a location different than the first batten; and heating the sheet of heat shrinkable film to bring the film into conformity with the portion of the roof, wherein the heating step shrinks the sheet of film tight against the built structure to cover over the portion of the roof.

SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING INTEGRATED ROOF SYSTEM WITH ENGINEERED WOOD

A method to manufacture, on one or more production or manufacturing lines, an integrated roofing product, such as a roofing panel or roofing plank. A blank panel of engineered wood is cut or sawn into a plurality of raw planks or raw panels, each with an outer face, an inner face, a top edge, and a bottom edge. Each raw plank or panel is then processed by cutting or routing a profile into the top edge, the bottom edge, or both; affixing a gasket seal to the profile in the top edge or the bottom edge, or both; coating at least some or all of the outer face with a silicone-based or silicone-containing coating; applying a mix of granules and/or sand to the silicone-based coating while wet; and curing the coated plank or panel. A plurality of panels or planks can then be installed on a roofing structure.

Roof sheath connecting apparatus and associated method of use

An apparatus for connecting roof sheathing, including: (a) a left side member, wherein the left side member includes a length, a top surface, and a bottom surface; (b) a first upright member, wherein the first upright member includes a length, an outer surface, and an inner surface, and wherein the first upright member emanates contiguously and substantially orthogonally from the left side member; (c) a second upright member, wherein the second upright member includes a length, an outer surface, and an inner surface, and wherein the second upright member emanates contiguously from and substantially parallel to the first upright member; and (d) a right side member, wherein the right side member includes a length, a top surface, and a bottom surface, and wherein the right side member emanates contiguously and substantially orthogonally from the second upright member.

Batten Arrangement for Building Surfaces
20230124293 · 2023-04-20 · ·

Battens for mounting on a building surface such as a roof are connected by bendable, lengthwise substantially inelastic connecting members, the length of each connecting member between adjacent pairs of the battens having a predetermined length corresponding to a predetermined batten separation. When deployed on the building surface, the batten separations and thus positions of the battens relative to each other are maintained substantially constant by the connecting members. When stowed, however, the battens lie against or immediately adjacent to each other with the connecting members extending outward from between adjacent ones of the battens. A user may deploy the batten arrangement for mounting by laying it in the stowed configuration on the building surface and pulling it into the deployed configuration.

Reinforced breathable sheet

A non-asphaltic breathable sheet is provided that includes at least one breathable polymer layer and at least one nonwoven layer. The breathable sheet may include an open-mesh reinforcing fabric embedded in a breathable polymer layer. The breathable sheet has an advantageous balance of strength, water resistance, and permeability to water vapor.

COVER BOARD WITH HONEYCOMB LAYER
20230064072 · 2023-03-02 ·

A cover board and roofing system including a cover board are disclosed. In one embodiment, the cover board includes a honeycomb layer positioned between a first face sheet and a second face sheet. The honeycomb layer comprises a honeycomb structure having a plurality of partition walls forming a plurality of cells. When the cover board is applied as part of a roof structure, including an insulation layer and a roof deck below the cover board, the roof structure exceeds requirements for Very Severe Hail Resistance according to the FM Approvals FM 4470 VSH impact resistance testing standard for Single-Ply, Polymer-Modified Bitumen Sheet, Built-Up Roof (BUR) and Liquid Applied Roof Assemblies.

Method and apparatus for making a water drainage-promoting wrap

A method and apparatus for making a water drainage-promoting wrap for applications such as housewrap and roofing underlayment. A substrate, which may be breathable or non-breathable, is conveyed through a nip between a rotating sleeve and a roll, the sleeve having a plurality of apertures therein. A fluid resin composition is fed into the sleeve and is fed out through the apertures in the sleeve as it rotates and as the substrate moves through the nip, forming spaced-apart spacer elements on a face of the substrate. The spacer elements are then dried or cured.

ROOFING PANELS WITH WATER SHEDDING FEATURES

Roofing panels with water shedding features may be installed on the roof of a house or other structure in lieu of or as an underlayment for traditional roofing materials. The water shedding features can be built into a base of the roofing panels, as part of a frame for the roofing panels, or formed as part of a waterproofing layer applied to the base of the roofing panels, or which can be configured as a roofing panel. The roofing panels also can be installed in overlapping courses along a roof with water shedding features applied thereto or incorporated along one or more peripheral edges. The water shedding features of adjacent roofing panels will collect and divert water away from the upper surfaces and/or away from headlap and/or sidelap joints defined between the roofing panels.
