SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONSERVING THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL ENERGY USAGE IN BUILDINGS AND HOUSES
Systems and methods of use of movable shading devices, are disclosed. In some example implementations, the system can include one or more movable shading devices, where the one or more movable shading devices are configured to be selectively moveable, based on control by a programmable controller, with respect to an external surface of a building or house, where the external surface of the building or house includes at least one wall surface and at least one roof surface, to conserve at least one of cooling energy use associated with the building or house and/or heating energy use associated with the building or house.
Extruded aluminum canopy with hidden fasteners
A system and method for fabricating canopies featuring extruded members coupled together with fasteners that are hidden and are retained by multiple tracks located in the extruded members. Prefabricated corners of extruded members allow fabricators to build the canopy on site by attaching straight members to form a canopy from the four prefabricated corners.

Modular multifunction shading device, particularly for a pergola
A multifunction shading device for creating a pergola. The device includes a structure that provides support for the device. The device also includes modules, each module equipped with a blind and a mechanism configured to control a length of the blind distributed along one axis of the structure.
Universal awning anchor
A universal awning anchor is an apparatus that supports an awning with various types of ground, such as soil, concrete, and sand. The apparatus includes a head, a first elongated bar, a second elongated bar, a length-adjustable fastener, and an anchor. The head upholds an awning. The first elongated bar and the second elongated bar define the height of the apparatus. The length-adjustable fastener secures the awning onto the head. The head and the anchor are removable and replaceable with the first elongated bar and the second elongated bar, respectively. The first elongated bar and the second elongated bar are telescopically engaged. The anchor that mounts the apparatus into the soil includes a plurality of threads. The anchor that mounts the apparatus onto concrete includes a plate and a plurality of anchoring holes. The anchor that mounts the apparatus into sand includes a first stake and a second stake.

Solar module with tilt freedom
An adjustable support for a panel is provided to allow control of the height and the tilt angle of the panel. The support includes a hollow cylindrical base having an outer diameter D.sub.1; a first hollow piston having an outer diameter D.sub.2 threadably engaged with the base; a second hollow piston having an outer diameter D.sub.3 threadably engaged with the first piston; a third piston having an outer diameter D.sub.4 threadably engaged with the second piston, such that D.sub.1>D.sub.2>D.sub.3>D.sub.4. A ball pod extends from the third piston and accommodates a ball attached to the panel. One or more stepper motors are provided, where each stepper motor is coupled to a bottom portion of a respective piston, and a rotor of each stepper motor is configured to rotate the corresponding piston, thereby causing the piston to move along a longitudinal axis of the support.
Pergola building system and bracket
A pergola system and bracket is described, which includes a frame having a plurality of vertical spaced apart posts, and horizontal frame members each of which have an internal reinforcing rod passing through at least a portion of the posts/frame members. The internal reinforcing rods are removably secured to a corner connecting element which then connects the posts/frame members to each other making it easier to construct and provides increased stability to the structure upon completion.
Pergola shade system for a pier
A pergola shade system designed for use with a pier over water. The pergola shade system includes as its primary components a roof assembly, a framework to support the roof assembly above the pier, and an anchor assembly that removably and securely mounts the roof assembly and framework to the pier. The anchor assembly is constructed of components that permit the roof structure and framework of the pergola shade system to be both easily erected on a pier for use and easily disassembled from the pier for storage.
