Collapsible stair with foldable ramp
A collapsible stair with foldable ramp can include a first step, and a second step nestable within the first step such that when the collapsible stair is in a closed position the second step is aligned with the first step and when the collapsible stair is in an open position a lateral offset between the second step and the first step is increased. A third step can be nestable within the first step such that when the collapsible stair is in a closed position the third step is aligned with the second step and is in an open position a lateral offset between the third step and the second step is increased. A ramp can be rotatably coupled to the first step to rotate from a stair position to a ramp position, wherein the ramp position comprises the second step and the third step being covered by the ramp.
Modular precast concrete steps
A precast concrete step unit formed of left and right sidewalls, risers, and treads, wherein left and right sidewalls are assembled from a plurality of pre-cast sidewall panel modules, including at least one stepped panel module and at least one rectangular panel module. The panel modules are joined edge-to-edge at seams, with cement and/or with hardware. Pre-cast concrete tread modules extend at least between the left and right sidewalls and are mounted onto respective stepped edge surfaces of the right and left sidewalls. Pre-cast concrete riser modules also extending at least between the right and left sidewalls and mounted onto tread modules. These each extend vertically to successive stepped edge surfaces. Reinforcing cross brace members are fastened to the inward surfaces of the left and right sidewalls and extend at crossed diagonals between them. The precast modules each weight about 200 pounds or less and can be carried by two workmen. One-piece concrete footing pieces can be used to support the lower edges of the sidewall panel modules.
PARKING GARAGE FOR MOTOR VEHICLES, IN PARTICULAR MULTISTORY PARKING GARAGE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PARKING GARAGE
A parking garage for motor vehicles that can be easily, quickly and cost-effectively erected, and makes efficient use of limited space, in particular a multistory garage, is proposed, comprising a ground floor level and at least one parking floor level located above the ground floor level, a support structure with a shaft, at least one conveyor for the essentially vertical transport of motor vehicles, the conveyor being situated in the shaft of the support structure, the at least one parking floor level comprising at least one parking place for at least one motor vehicle, the parking garage being designed for transferring a motor vehicle between the conveyor and a parking position on the at least one parking place, the transfer being powered by the motor vehicle itself, such that a first side of at least one of the parking floor levels is located on the support structure.
Operable ramp
An operable ramp is moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position to provide a sloped transition surface between upper and lower surfaces of an architectural setting. The operable ramp includes a housing disposed on the lower surface of the architectural setting and having a selectively adjustable height. A first ramp panel has a support element extending from a first end. The operable ramp also includes a drive assembly located within the housing. The drive assembly includes an endless loop coupled to an end of the support element to move the operable ramp between the stowed position and the deployed position. The endless loop has a linear portion located between first and second arcuate portions. The endless loop raises the end of the support element to deploy first ramp panel. The distance between the first and second arcuate portions is selectively adjustable.

The disclosure in some aspects relates to recombinant adeno-associated viruses having distinct tissue targeting capabilities. In some aspects, the disclosure relates to gene transfer methods using the recombinant adeno-associate viruses. In some aspects, the disclosure relates to isolated AAV capsid proteins and isolated nucleic acids encoding the same.
Stair systems and wall assemblies comprising same
A stair system according to one illustrative embodiment comprises: a support body mountable in a wall and comprising a connecting region; a stair body; and a mounting apparatus. The mounting apparatus comprises: a connector connectable to the connecting region of the support body in any one of a plurality of different positions in the connecting region of the support body; and a holder configured to hold the stair body such that when the connector is connected to the connecting region of the support body, the stair body is spaced apart from the support body to permit a wall panel between the stair body and the support body. Wall assemblies comprising such stair systems are also disclosed.
STAIRCASE WHEELCHAIR RAMP ASSEMBLY
A staircase wheelchair ramp assembly for expeditiously and safely transporting wheelchair bound occupants down a staircase includes a base platform and a ramp member. The base platform is supported adjacent to a staircase and is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the deployed position, the base platform is positioned atop a staircase. The base platform supports inner and outer tracks that are configured to receive and guide inner and outer wheels of the wheelchair along the base platform over the staircase. The ramp member is pivotably coupled to one end of the base platform and is movable between a raised, substantially horizontal position and a lowered position supported on the base platform. The ramp member includes inner tracks that are aligned with the inner tracks of the base platform when the ramp member is in the lowered position.
Hybrid Residential and Commercial Building
A hybrid residential and commercial building. The building includes two or more ground floor single-story units configured for commercial use that each have a front facing entry for providing access to each individual unit. The building further includes two or more multi-story units configured for residential use situated above the ground floor units, wherein each of the multi-story units has a dedicated rear facing entry. The building has a front side facing a public street and a rear side facing a private courtyard area. Additionally, the individual ground floor units are separated by removable demising walls, which allows a business to expand by combining adjacent units. The hybrid residential and commercial building provides an economically efficient alternative to current building types that are restricted to a single type of use by providing for both residential and commercial use within a flexible ground-floor space while providing dedicated residential units directly above.
Portable pathway apparatus
A portable pathway apparatus for providing a path over a surface, the portable pathway comprising: a pliable frame member; a row of mating holes disposed on each side of the pliable frame member; a set of steps coupled to the pliable frame member; wherein one or more of the set of steps is coupled to the pliable frame member with a mount that aligns with the row of mating holes on each of the corresponding sides of the pliable frame member.
