A wheelchair ramp system includes a ramp constructed from at least one structural insulated panel (SIP) having a foam core sandwiched between two structural facing panels such as oriented strand board (OSB). An outdoor exterior coating such as polyaspartic coating covers the SIP panel for allowing the SIP panel to be resistant to outdoor elements. At least one guardrail or handrail is secured to the side of the SIP for providing a safety barrier to persons using the ramp system.

A telescoping pet ramp incudes a bottom frame that has a rectangular shape and fasteners to tether the telescoping pet ramp to an interior of a vehicle. The telescoping pet ramp includes a top frame, a platform, connectors, a ramp storage area, and a telescoping ramp. The top frame has four sides that create a rectangular shape and an opening between the four sides. The platform is attached to the top frame and covers the opening. Four or more connectors connect the top frame and the bottom frame. The ramp storage area is between the top frame and the bottom frame. The telescoping ramp is moveable with respect to a front of the top frame and a front of the bottom frame. The ramp storage area retains the telescoping ramp when the telescoping ramp is in a non-extended state.

DEPLOYMENT MECHANSIM FOR A BARIATRIC RAMP

A deployment mechanism for a bariatric ramp which has a drive motor pivotally secured to one side of the ramp platform. The deployment mechanism includes a lever located in a housing on the opposing side of the platform ramp. One end of the lever being connected to a platform pivot bar and the other end being connected to a traction gas spring secured within the housing. The spring mechanism comprises a drive shaft having a first and second torque levers located either end of the drive shaft. The drive shaft being rotatable as the platform is deployed such that the torque levers move between a first position whereby only the first torque lever acts on the spring and to a second position whereby neither first nor second torque levers act on the spring and to a third position whereby only the second torque lever acts on the spring.

A moveable ramp and method of moving cargo using a moveable ramp. The moveable ramp includes a ramp structure comprising a plurality of planar portions including a lower inclined portion, an upper inclined portion, a first horizontal portion extending between the lower inclined portion and the upper inclined portion and a second horizontal portion extending from an upper end of the upper inclined portion wherein the horizontal portions act as landing zones for a delivery tug moving the cargo onto and off of the ramp. The ramp also includes a locking mechanism at the top end to secure the ramp to a pallet, for sample. The ramp may further include automatic struts such as gas struts.

Energy-efficient assistive stairs

In a method for recycling energy from stairs, a step platform is moveable between an upper and lower position. An energy storage device, coupled to the platform, stores energy when a downward force is applied thereto, causing the step platform to move to the lower position. The energy storage device (also releases stored energy as the step platform moves from to the upper position. A controllable locking mechanism (locks the step platform in the lower position when the downward force has caused the step platform to move into the lower position. A sensor determines when a downward force has been applied to the next higher step platform. A controller signals the controllable locking mechanism to unlock the step platform when the step platform is in the lower position, and when the downward force has been applied to the next higher step platform.

Modular deck apparatus

A deck apparatus for assembly with a pair of opposing brace frames interconnected by a pair opposing connector bases and a deck board top frame having a plurality of deck boards disposed thereon, the connector bases having opposing posts for being received in openings in a lower end of the opposing brace frames ends and the deck board top frame having posts for being received in an upper end of the opposing brace frames, and optionally attaching a stairs riser having a plurality of spaced-apart treads or a ramp riser for extending from a deck surface at a height to a vertically lower support surface.

A wheelchair ramp system includes a ramp having a floor having a plurality of layers. At least one guardrail is secured to the side of the ramp for providing a safety barrier to persons using the ramp system. The plurality of layers include a base, a foil isolator; a heating element, a heating element cover and a flooring cover. The ramp system is divided into a plurality of electrical zones such that not all zones are powered at the same time.

Automatic slope adjusting device

An automatic slope adjusting device is provided herein. The automatic slope adjusting device may include a slope type footrest unit configured to form a sloped passage; and a driving unit configured to adjust an inclination angle of the slope type footrest unit, and a length of the slot type footrest unit in a forward-backward direction thereof.
