The channel may receive a planar component which forms a sloped surface of a ramp.

HIDEAWAY PET RAMP

Hideaway pet ramps of the present disclosure are collapsible, discreet, and greatly facilitate access for pets onto beds, sofas, vehicles, and other elevated areas. This access can be greatly beneficial for infirm, geriatric, overweight, and small pets. Advantageously, pet ramps of the present disclosure also reduce the likelihood of injury for pet owners, such as injuries from lifting an animal onto the bed without the benefit of a ramp. Pet ramps of the present disclosure generally include a thin, rigid housing that discreetly fits underneath a mattress without compromising the comfort of the mattress. The housing forms a pocket configured to store a telescoping, height-adjustable and length-adjustable ramp assembly having an upper slide assembly and a lower slide assembly that may be deployed at any time a pet needs access to/from the bed.

PLATFORM TRANSITION AND INTERFACE FOR THE SAME

A platform interface includes a platform, a hanger, and a ramping section. The platform defines a slot. The hanger has a body with a first end and a second end, a flange outwardly extending from the body and having a flange lip, and a gap extending between the first end and the flange lip. The ramping section has a hook configured to engage the flange such that the platform supports the ramping section via the flange. The gap is sized to prevent rotation of the hanger relative to the platform when the first end of the hanger is engaged with the slot and the hook engages the flange.

Tread mounting system for spiral staircase
10487514 · 2019-11-26 · ·

A method is disclosed of attaching a tread assembly of a spiral staircase to a vertical support column. One step of the method involves providing a tread assembly having a tread portion attached to an arcuate mounting plate defining at least one hole through which extends a fastener defining external threads, the mounting plate having a first face defining a first radius of curvature. Another step involves providing a support column extending along an axis, the support column having a plurality of axially and angularly spaced apart tread attachment locations, each of the tread attachment locations having an arcuate outer surface defining a corresponding aperture for receipt of the fastener, the arcuate outer surface defining a second radius of curvature that is greater than the first radius of curvature. According to another step of the method, the tread assembly is loosely connected to one of the tread attachment locations of the support column. According to another step, the fastener is tightened such that the arcuate mounting plate of the tread assembly is elastically deformed to be in substantial engagement with the tread attachment location and applies tension to the elongate fastener to inhibit loosening thereof.

TREAD SURFACE FOR DECKING SYSTEM

A ramp and/or platform assembly includes a decking system having a tread surface on at least a portion of a top deck surface of the decking system, wherein the tread surface includes a plurality of multi-tiered ridges on the top deck surface for contact with a traveling body on the top deck surface.

STAIR CLIMBING AID (RAMP) FOR SELF-MOVING VACUUM ROBOTS
20240117637 · 2024-04-11 ·

The present invention comprises a novel stair climbing device for self-moving robots that allows moving between dwelling levels using existing straight as well curved stairs. The straight ramp is attached to the stair's wall in a folded state and placed on the stair in the unfolded state. The curved ramp is stored in a folded state and is placed in the stair in unfolded state. When a vacuum robot comes close to the ramp, it can be unfolded automatically or manually and allows the robot to go up or downstairs to the next level of the dwelling. When the ramp is not in use, it can be folded into a stored state or/and be removed. The stairclimbing aide's dovetail ramp allows a robot to climb on the ramp due to its lower approach angle.
