Nonwoven joint tape having low moisture expansion properties and method for using same
The invention is directed to a joint tape for finishing a joint between boards comprising a nonwoven substrate that does not swell substantially in the presence of water. The invention further provides a method of finishing a joint between boards comprising (i) applying a joint tape of the invention to a joint between boards by embedding the joint tape in a first coat of joint compound, (ii) applying a second coat of joint compound over the tape, wherein step (ii) is carried out before the joint tape and joint compound applied in step (i) have substantially dried, and optionally (iii) applying a third fill or finish coat of joint compound over the tape, wherein step (iii) is carried out before the joint tape and second coat have substantially dried.

Mortise Jig Assembly
A mortise jig assembly includes a block that is longitudinally elongated. The block has plurality of mortises therein and the block is clamped to a face of a door such that selected ones the mortises is aligned with an edge of the door. A jig panel is provided and the jig panel is positionable against the edge of the door to engage respective ones of the mortises thereby retaining the jig panel at a selected location on the edge of the door. The jig panel has a guide hole therein thereby facilitating the guide hole to be aligned with a preferred location to cut a hinge recess in the edge of the door. A pair of bolts is each extendable through the jig panel and the block for attaching the jig panel to the block.
CORNER FLASHING SYSTEM
A corner flashing system is provided for sealing the corners of recessed window frames against moisture penetration. In a preferred embodiment, the system comprises first and second double-flap members, a half-cube member, and caulking. The first and second double-flap members, and the half-cube member are preferably made of asphalt or petroleum based material. In another preferred embodiment, the system comprises one double-flap member, a modified half-cube member, and caulking. In another preferred embodiment, the system comprises a single member that combines a double-flap member and a half-cube member, and caulking. In another preferred embodiment, the system comprises a combination member, a double-flap member, and caulking.
MODULAR TILE ORGANIZATION SYSTEMS
Modular tile organization systems for use on a support surface. The systems include a dock and a plurality of tiles. The dock has a rear surface facing the support surface and a front surface. The dock is configured to abut the support surface with the front surface facing a user. The tiles are configured to be selectively fixed to the front surface of the dock in selected positions. The tiles include a tile body, a top, and a tile magnet. The tile body abuts the dock and defines a tile cavity. The top is disposed on the tile body, covers the tile cavity, and has a top surface. The tile magnet is disposed in the tile cavity and configured to magnetically couple the dock. The top surface is configured to be selectively marked and erased.
Levelling spacer device
A levelling spacer device for the application of slabs for covering surfaces, including a base having a lower surface and an opposite upper surface, a separator element extending upwardly from the upper surface of the base, a threaded stem which rises up from the separator element, a pressing element able to screw into the threaded stem, and a corner spacer that rises up from the upper surface of the base. The separator element includes a main zone having side faces parallel to one another and spaced apart defining a first thickness of the main zone. The corner spacer includes two side edges parallel to one another and square-angled with respect to the side faces. The separator element includes a central zone proximal to the base having a non-zero second thickness smaller than the first thickness. The corner spacer joins the central zone and has a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the side faces.
PRE-HUNG DOORS AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION THEREFOR
The present invention provides a pre-hung door assembly containing a door slab hung inside a door frame. The margins (space between the perimeter of the door and the frame) between the door slab and the door frame are maintained using at least one door jamb margin holder, at least one door lock margin holder, at least one bottom margin holder, or combinations of these holders. The margin holders allow the margins to be maintained and prevent unwanted opening of the door during the shipping and transportation of the door assembly. The jambs of door frame may include predrilled holes for securing the door assembly to the door opening. Details for the door jamb margin holder, the door lock margin holder, and the bottom margin; and methods for installation of the door assembly are also provided.
Tile spacing device and accompanying system and method
A tile spacing device and accompanying system and method are disclosed for spacing a plurality of tiles having a contour. In one embodiment, the tile spacing device includes two parallel bodies connected by at least one spanning member. The first body, the second body, and the at least one spanning member form a cage-like fused-member structure having a four-tile engagement configuration, a three-tile engagement configuration, and a two-tile engagement configuration, respectively. Within each of the three engagement configurations, engagement of a tile with a spacer can be seen by a user through the cage-like fused-member structure.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MOUNTING DOOR FRAMES
The present invention relates to a door frame, particularly a door frame for a pre-hung door assembly, which is foldable to minimize storage space and to allow for enhanced logistic efficiencies. The door frame contains parallel, spaced apart, vertical jambs and a horizontal header connecting the top ends of the jambs. Each of the jambs and the horizontal header contains a front section and back section that are hingedly joined so that then can be folded on to each other. The hingedly joined front and back sections allow the door fame to be foldable to minimize space occupied during storage.
Caulk Gun Attachment For Wiping Excess Caulk
A caulk wiping attachment for a caulk gun includes a tube having at least one open end for providing a circular wiping edge. The tube can be attached directly to a barrel of the caulk gun or to a disposable caulk cartridge installed into the barrel of the caulk gun. The tube can be cylindrical with an annular cross section. The tube can be attached to the caulk cartridge using a sleeve slipped over the caulk cartridge, the tube being attached to an outside of the sleeve. A disposable liner or cup can be held within the tube.
