Building assembly system and associated method

A building assembly system for fabricating a multi-story building is described, wherein the building includes a vertical support core arranged on a base. Lift jacks are arranged between a top portion and a bottom portion of the vertical support core, and a reusable bridle is suspended from the plurality of lift jacks and slidably arranged on the vertical support core. A floor plate is assembled onto the bridle at an assembly level that is proximal to the base. The plurality of the lift jacks are operable to lift the bridle and the assembled floor plate to a design elevation on the vertical support core, and are operable to lower the bridle to the assembly level on the vertical support core after the floor plate has been secured to the vertical support core at the design elevation.

To address one or more of these and/or other needs or problems with the use of climbing aids in the construction industry, the present inventor devised, among other things, one or more exemplary systems, kits, methods, devices, assemblies, and/or components related to providing safe and efficient means for installing temporary walls in commercial building projects as well as for other situations where conventional ladders pose heightened risk of injury and death. One exemplary system includes a telescopic climbing mast having a minimal operational length in the range of at least 15 feet, extending between a base support and a ceiling interface configured to resist lateral movement of an upper end of the mast. An upper portion of the mast further includes a worker safety line tie-off point for connection to a retractable fall restraint line.

A means for solving the problem is characterized in including: a frame body including a pair of longitudinal beams, a pair of lateral beams, and four coupling members disposed between respective end portions of the longitudinal beams and respective end portions of the lateral beams so as to rotatably connect the longitudinal beams and the lateral beams on the same plane, two or more intermediate beams bridged between the longitudinal beams at a predetermined interval; and scaffolding boards bridged between the longitudinal beams and supported by at least one of the intermediate beams, the number of the scaffolding boards being larger than the installing number of the intermediate beams by one.

Multi-level deck system for blowout preventers

A multi-level deck system for a blowout preventer and a method, of which the system includes a first deck positioned at least partially around and coupled to the blowout preventer, a second deck positioned at least partially around and coupled to the blowout preventer and vertically spaced apart from the first deck, and a third deck positioned at least partially around the blowout preventer and vertically spaced apart from the second deck.

ELEVATING CAGE WITH PIVOTABLY ATTACHED PANELS HAVING RESPECTIVE PIVOTABLE LATCHES

An elevating cage system includes floor panels for a walk surface that can pivot upward to expose a portion of a container disposed below the platform. Each floor panel has a latch that pivots to engage a cage railing surrounding the platform and hold the floor panel in an open position. The latch is weighted about a pivot so that when the panel is pivoted to a completely open position, the latch pivots under its own weight to engage a stop so that the latch is disposed in an orientation to engage the handrail and hold the panel in the open position until an operator releases the latch. When the panel pivots to its closed position, the latch's weight balance about its pivot causes the latch to rotate until the latch engages the stop and is held in a stowed orientation in which the latch is entirely below a plane of an upper surface of the panel.
