A safety device including a boom with a primary end and a secondary end, where: the primary end and secondary end are the opposite terminal ends of the boom; the primary end is configured to be, releasably or permanently, attached to a mounting which includes a mounting joint which is a hinge joint; the boom includes a base section, zero or one intermediate section and a load section connected together, in that order, by hinge joints, such that the safety device can extend from a mounting in a single plane, a movement plane, that lies parallel to the longitudinal axis of the boom, the primary end is coterminous with an exposed end, a first base end, of the load section; the load section includes a first load end and a second load end, where the first and second load ends are opposite terminal ends of the load section; the secondary end is coterminous with the second load end; and the second load end includes a connection point, where the connection point is configured to releasably attach a user to the boom via a device with fall arrest capabilities, such that the connection point does not slide lengthwise along the load section.

JOINTED COLDPROOF RACK RAILWAY SYSTEM WITH BRAKING FEATURE
20180238063 · 2018-08-23 ·

The present invention relates to a jointed coldproof building rack railway system with braking feature, comprising a number of jointed rack rails fixed to a building, connection components for connecting the rack rails together, a lift device and a number of electrically heated infrared ice melting device. An installation plate is disposed at an inner side of the rack rail, a rail plate is disposed at an outer side of the rack rail, connection poles are disposed at four peripheral locations of the rack rail. Two rows of rack teeth are uniformly and vertically disposed on the rail plate. A connection hole is disposed at the connection pole for mounting the connection components. A limiter stand is disposed at a central portion of the connection component, bolt holes are disposed at a top portion and a bottom portion of a side wall of the connection component. Through holes are disposed at a side wall of the connection hole for allowing bolts to penetrate through and correspond to the bolt holes. The rack railway system of the present invention has the advantages of being reasonable, vertical movement is safely controlled, preventing rail from being unable to use due to freezing rails, increasing maintenance efficiency.

CATWALK FLOORBEAM CONNECTION SYSTEM

A catwalk system having a pair of side trusses formed of a top chord and bottom chord connected by a plurality of vertical posts and diagonal posts. The bottom chords have a plurality of joints formed of a bottom plate, opposing side plates and wing plates that form a pocket. These pockets receive an end of floorbeams which are bolted to the side plates. The bottom plate also includes a wind brace section that receives an end of a diagonal wind brace therein. The fabricated side trusses are shipped to the job site where the catwalk is quickly and easily assembled by aligning a pair of side trusses in parallel space alignment and installing floorbeams in the pockets of opposing joints. To provide additional rigidity diagonal wind braces are installed in a zig-zag formation between diagonally opposite joints. This arrangement provides a quickly assembled catwalk that requires minimal assembly.

Scaffolding systems and a scaffolding joint therefor

A scaffolding assembly is disclosed. The system includes scaffolding poles joints (or fittings) for releasably securing the poles at cross-over points. Each scaffolding joints has an inner body member and two movable outer clamping members to clamp the poles to the body member at the cross-over points. The body member also has as a mounting for a safety connection member which projects laterally the scaffolding poles towards an operative. The safety connection member can be connected to a safety tension member from the operative such that a safety connection point is available at each of the scaffolding joints.

A seal plate assembly designed to quickly install and fully cover floor openings on a scaffold deck. The present invention includes at least one plate A and at least one bracket. The at least one plate A covers the floor opening, and the at least one bracket removably attaches the at least one plate A to the scaffold deck. Each plate A includes a slotted aperture designed to attach to the top of a bracket. This arrangement makes it easy to install, as the user simply slides the top of the bracket across the slotted aperture and connects the bottom of the bracket to a structural support, all without having to reach underneath and hold the bracket in place. In another embodiment, the present invention further includes a pair of plates B that are uniquely assembled to cover a remaining gap surrounding a fixed structure passing through the scaffold deck.
