The invention relates to a bridge that is for use with a scaffolding standard. The standard may comprise of an elongate pipe to which there is secured at least one rosette of a kind that presents a plurality of apertures about the pipe at which a connection to said standard can be established by other scaffolding components. The bridge is capable of connection to said rosette at at least two said apertures, said bridge allowing a scaffolding component to be secured thereto to be positioned and supported by said bridge at a location not catered for by any aperture of said rosette.

CAM LOCKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A system and a method include a cam locking assembly including a support rod having a rod body that extends along an axis, a first rail component having a rail body that extends along the axis and coupled with the support rod and a third rail component, a cam having an interior passage extending along the axis that receives a portion of the support rod and an exterior surface having plural recesses, and guide pins that extend into the plural recesses of the cam and control movement of the cam. Movement of the cam controls movement of the third rail component between a loaded position and an unloaded position.

The invention comprises a clamp that is easily and quickly attached to planks such as those in a scaffold platform that is defined by plural planks laid side-by-side to define a platform in a scaffold structure. The clamp resides beneath the planks and is therefore not a trip-hazard for workers, and the clamp is readily adjustable to compress the planks to one another to stabilize the platform. The invention creates a stronger and more stable platform by eliminating the vertical deflection of each individual plank as well as any other relative movement. The inventive clamp features adjustable telescopic tubing which allows for the user to adjust the clamp to be utilized on a number of different scaffolding frame widths. Fine adjustments to the width of the clamp are made available through a threaded clamping nut that can only be adjusted using a .sup.th inch socket, which is a size typically carried by a scaffolding worker. A guard post apparatus may be attached to the clamps to allow for a safety railing.

Coupling member for scaffoldings

A coupling member includes a hook-shaped coupling part arranged to be hooked into a gripping part of an upright and a locking arrangement switchable between a locking position and a release position. Further, the locking arrangement includes a pivotally attached first clamping part and a wedge-shaped locking part, which is slidable between a locking position and a release position. The wedge-shaped locking part is arranged to push the first clamping part towards the upright and the gripping part by means of wedge action. Moreover, the first clamping part comprises two transversally spaced apart side parts which jointly define a cavity there between. The first clamping part is arranged externally on the hook-shaped coupling part, and is arranged partly within the cavity. Further, each of the side parts includes fastening means for pivotal attachment of the first clamping part to the hook-shaped coupling part.
