LIGHTWEIGHT COLUMBARIUM, COMBINATIONS THEREOF WITH A RITUAL TRANSPORTER AND A CRATE, AND METHODS OF TRANPORTING AND INSTALLING A LIGHTWEIGHT COLUMBARIUM
20230265675 · 2023-08-24 ·

The lightweight columbarium comprises a rigid frame made of a frame material, a number of decorative panels made of a decorative panel material, panel attachments for attaching the decorative panels to the rigid frame, and an enclosure defined within said decorative panels and said frame, for receiving a funeral urn. The frame material is less fragile than the decorative panel material and allows the frame to provide structural rigidity to the columbarium at less weight than if only the decorative panel material were used. The columbarium may be transported on a ritual transporter comprising a columbarium bed for carrying the columbarium and handles attached to the columbarium bed for transporting the transporter. The columbarium may be stored in a crate comprising a rigid protective shell attached to the columbarium externally thereof for protecting the columbarium against impacts; and an opening provided in the protective shell that is aligned with the bottom of the columbarium. The columbarium may be removed from the crate and installed on a base using a prop sized to fit within a shell opening in the crate so as to abut against the bottom of the columbarium and to protrude beyond the shell, for allowing the columbarium to rest on prop when the prop rests on the ground for facilitating egress of the columbarium from the crate and installation of the columbarium on the base.

DECORATIVE MEMORIAL FOR HOLDING CREMAINS
20230250667 · 2023-08-10 ·

A memorial such as for displaying cremain remains, including a superstructure defining an open interior. A removable top piece is attached atop the superstructure for permitting access to a cremain holding enclosure supported within the interior. The removable top piece includes any of a lamp, globe, planter or birdbath. A solar lighting element is incorporated into the removable top piece. A window is configured within the superstructure for viewing the internally held cremain holding enclosure. The enclosure further incorporates each of a bottom cap, sleeve shaped body and top cap. The bottom cap defines a platform for the cremain enclosure secured within the interior in order to array the cremain enclosure level with the viewing window.

CONCRETE MONUMENT FORMING

A kit for forming a monument includes a backplate having a top surface, a plurality of tiles that each have a face with a raised symbol on the face configured to be positioned selectively on the top surface of the backplate, and a perimeter frame sized to mate with the backplate to form a cavity. The tiles can be located in positions on the top surface of the backplate, the perimeter frame can be affixed to the backplate, and a moldable material can be flowed into the cavity where the moldable material can harden. The perimeter frame, backplate and tiles can then be removed from the hardened moldable material, leaving a hardened material with a surface having a recess formed by the raised symbol.

PATRON-ACCESSIBLE MEMORIALIZATION STRUCTURES
20220120109 · 2022-04-21 ·

Memorialization structures, niches, and methods for manufacturing niches having a recess or cavity that is accessible after installation of the memorialization structures and/or post-burial or post-entombment of a deceased are generally described. In some embodiments, a memorialization niche may include a recess and a door configured to enclose the recess. The door may include a lock configured to prevent public access to the recess. A patron associated with the niche may unlock the door and access the recess. The patron may remove objects from and/or insert objects into the recess post-burial or -entombment of the deceased without disturbing the memorialization structure and/or adjacent memorialization structures and/or requiring a memorial operator to unseal the recess. Accordingly, the patron may continually update the personalization effects of a memorialization structure and achieve a dynamic memorial for the deceased while maintaining the security of any bodily remains and/or personal objects stored in the recess.

Crypt System
20220018150 · 2022-01-20 ·

Embodiments relate to a crypt system having a frame used as a skeleton structure upon which a façade is secured. The frame includes vertical and horizontal supports, each equipped with a mechanical interconnecting arrangement that allows the frame to be assembled easily and with close tolerances. The interconnecting arrangement also provides the structural stability and integrity desired for a mausoleum or columbarium, even when the system is free-standing. Each horizontal support has a fluid channel that collects fluid (e.g., gas and/or liquid) and directs it to the vertical support in connection with the horizontal support. Each vertical support has a fluid channel to direct the gas up to a conduit that leads to outside the building that houses the crypt system. The vertical fluid channel also directs liquid down to a drain that captures the liquid.

Headstone Support
20210355702 · 2021-11-18 ·

The invention herein relates to a headstone support. The headstone support has a base and a socket. The headstone socket is configured to receive the headstone in a tight fit so as to reduce movement and/or shifting of the headstone. The headstone socket can have at least four corners. The corners are connected by sidewalls. The sidewalls may be complete sidewalls or partial sidewalls. The base of the headstone support has flanges that extend outward from the sidewalls. The base is configured to disperse the weight of the headstone. The base may attach directly to or rest on a vault or may be placed on compacted ground. The headstone support may have openings configured for drainage. The openings may be positioned inside the socket. Alternatively, the openings may be positioned on the sidewalls.

PROCESSING AND TRACKING OF BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS IN CEMENT KILNS

Methods of processing biological materials such as the remains of humans or pets, which may be enclosed in a casket, include depositing the biological materials, including the remains and/or the casket, into a cement kiln and operating the cement kiln to produce clinker, thereby incorporating products of the biological remains into the clinker, such as into a crystal or molecular structure of the clinker, and then grinding the clinker to form a cementitious product.
