Foldable playard having X-frame assemblies and canopy cover
11559146 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A foldable playard includes a frame defining an interior space when unfolded and soft goods partially disposed within the interior space to define a partially enclosed space for a child to play and/or sleep. The frame includes multiple leg support assemblies and multiple X-frame assemblies that couple adjacent leg support assemblies together. The X-frame assembly is positioned near the top of the frame when the playard is unfolded such that the X-frame assembly functions as a top rail to mechanically reinforce the playard. In this manner, the playard does not include a separate compliant or rigid top rail or a bottom support structure, thus reducing the number of parts for manufacture. Additionally, the playard includes a single latch mechanism to maintain the playard in the unfolded configuration. The playard may also include an optional canopy cover assembly mounted to the frame to provide shade for the child.

The air flow control blinds may include one or more roof vents adjacent to the one or more walls on the roof to remove air from an interior of the blind therethrough. The air flow control blind includes at least one oxidant generator mount on one or more of the roof or the one or more walls to mount an oxidant generator thereon. Blind systems include a portable oxidant generator positioned in the blind. The blinds and blind systems are used to control scents therein or therearound.

BARRIER SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING PROPERTY FROM WIND AND FLOOD DAMAGE
20230220643 · 2023-07-13 ·

A wind and water barrier system for the protection of property is provided, wherein the barrier system is embodied in a singular device. The systemic device includes a flexible partitioned tube, each partition fillable with water to provide a flood barrier along a supporting surface around the property. A plurality of connections points is provided along a first longitudinal segment of the flexible tube, the connection points are anchored to the supporting surface. Along a second longitudinal segment a flap interfaces with an apron and is connected thereto by way of attachment points. The apron extends from the attachment points so as to be movable between a furled storage condition and an unfurled operable condition placed or installed over the property as a wind barrier. The line of force through the unfurled planar apron may intersect the interface of the stakes, the supporting surface, and the connection points.

Erecting frame and protective skin shelter system
11530550 · 2022-12-20 ·

A shelter system having an erecting frame system and a protective skin system. The erecting frame system has at least two A-frame legs and at least one tensioning element. The A-frame legs each comprise at least one elongated structural member, each of the A-frame legs coalescing with at least one other A-frame leg with at least one connection. The tensioning element is at least temporarily affixed to a free end of each of the at least two A-frame legs, and comprises at least one elongated structural element capable of generating a tension force to draw the free ends of the A-frame legs towards one another, thereby at least temporarily lifting the connection to a predetermined height above the free end of each A-frame leg. A protective skin system is also provided with at least one side plane, one roof plane, and one end plane. The side plane is disposed between two A-frame legs; the roof plane is concordant with the ground surface; and the end plane is disposed between two A-frame legs of a constituent A-frame leg pair and a ground surface. The planar element of the protective skin system provides at least a partial barrier from a ballistic threat to a volume behind the planar element, the loading of the protective skin system being transferred at least in part first to the erecting frame system and ultimately to the ground surface.

Portable Barrier

A vehicle-deployable enclosure assembly for deployment on a supporting surface using a lifting vehicle may include an enclosure base which is deployable between a collapsed configuration and an extended, enclosure-supporting configuration. An enclosure may be carried by the enclosure base. At least one attachment system may be provided on the enclosure. The at least one attachment system may be configured to facilitate attachment of the enclosure to the lifting vehicle. The enclosure base may be configured to deploy from the collapsed configuration to the extended, enclosure-supporting configuration in which the enclosure base supports the enclosure over the supporting surface responsive to lifting of the enclosure by operation of the lifting vehicle.
