Exit device with remote trim input

An exemplary closure assembly includes a swinging barrier, a pushbar assembly mounted to a first side of the barrier, a remote trim assembly mounted to a second side of the barrier, and a transmission assembly that extends at least partially through the barrier and couples remote trim assembly and the pushbar assembly. The pushbar assembly includes a latchbolt and a pushbar operable to retract the latchbolt. The remote trim includes a handle that is operably coupled with the latchbolt via the transmission assembly such that the handle is operable to retract the latchbolt. The handle is positioned above the pushbar such that a vertical offset distance is defined therebetween. The offset distance is selected such that a user having a height within a selected range of heights is able to actuate the pushbar assembly, but cannot actuate the trim assembly.

Deadbolt lock

A deadbolt lock includes a positioning member mounted to a lock part. A protective member includes a recess formed in one side thereof and is mounted to the lock part and the positioning member. A covered area is formed between the positioning member and the protective member. At least one fixing member is connected to the positioning member and located within the covered area. An outer cover is mounted to the protective member and the positioning member. The at least one fixing member is compact in size to reinforce the protective member to reduce manufacturing cost. The protective member and the outer cover are not damaged by impact from outside of the deadbolt lock to enhance safety features of the deadbolt lock.

Overwing Exit Door System

A system and method for an overwing exit door is provided. The overwing exit door system comprises a door, a handle connected to an inboard surface of the door, a guide track connected to a body of the aircraft, a roller, a first crank connected to the roller and associated with the handle, a first shaft system attached to the first crank, a latch system connected to the first shaft system, and a locking system associated with the latch system. The latch system comprises a rotating stop, a second crank associated with the rotating stop, and a second shaft system connected to the second crank and the rotating stop. These components together control operation of the overwing exit door between an open position and a closed position.

Keycam assembly

A keycam assembly including a rotatable member, a stem, a locking member coupled to the stem for joint longitudinal movement therewith, and a cam driver. The rotatable member includes an aperture. A proximal end portion of the stem is rotatably seated in the rotatable member and defines a cam track. The locking member extends between the aperture and the cam track. The cam track includes a first passage including a locking pocket, a second passage including an unlocking pocket, a first ramped passage including a locking ramp extending from the second passage to the locking pocket, and a second ramped passage including an unlocking ramp extending from the first passage to the unlocking pocket. Relative rotation of the rotatable member and the stem causes the cam driver to travel along the track to thereby cause movement of the locking member between a locking position and an unlocking position.

Cylinder assembly with rotating winged latch bolt for sliding door lockset

Cylinder assembly with rotating winged latch bolt for sliding door lockset includes a special latch bolt that holds in an extended position and holds in a retracted position which alternates back and forth by pressing the latch bolt with your finger. The special latch bolt rotates ninety degrees by turning the doorknob, door handle, thumb turn, or coin turn and rotates back ninety degrees by turning the doorknob, door handle, thumb turn, or coin turn back. The special latch bolt has a special winged shape that catches within the strike plate when rotated ninety degrees and releases from the strike plate when rotated ninety degrees back. Also there is a special face plate or cylinder face plate with tabs or notches that serve as a two-position mechanical stop to prevent the latch bolt from over rotating beyond ninety degrees in either direction.

T-shaped Lever Gate Latch Pull System
20220081939 · 2022-03-17 ·

A gate latch pull system for a swinging gate and gate post. A gate latch with pivotal latch lever is mounted on a gate post and a latch bar on an inside edge of a swinging gate. A T shaped lever with first and second lever arms and a swinging base is pivotally mounted on the gate post above the gate latch. A vertical linkage connectable between bottom of swinging base and top of the pivotal latch lever, with the linkage adjustable in length during connection of the base and the latch lever such that when the latch lever is in a latched position and the swinging base is vertical, the linkage has flexibility, slack and weight enough to provide additional downward weight bias to pivotal motion of the latch lever.

Dual function handle set

A handle set includes a main body that has a handle and a faceplate positioned around the handle, the faceplate having a toggle aperture. The handle set includes a locking mechanism that includes a locking piece that has a locking notch. The locking mechanism includes a toggle positioned within a toggle housing, the toggle being movable relative to the toggle housing. The toggle includes a toggle tail configured to be received into the locking notch. The toggle includes a toggle head removably attached to the toggle tail, the toggle head being at least one of a privacy attachment button and a passage attachment button. At least a portion of the privacy attachment button extends from the toggle aperture and beyond the faceplate. The passage attachment button interfaces with the toggle housing to prevent relative movement between the passage attachment button and the toggle housing.

Handle retention

A handleset includes a housing, a spindle sleeve, a handle, a coupler, and a spindle. The spindle sleeve includes an aperture, and is rotatably mounted to the housing. The handle is mounted to the spindle sleeve and includes a recess aligned with the aperture. The coupler is movably mounted in the aperture for movement between a decoupling position and a coupling position. The coupler in the coupling position is disengaged from the recess and does not prevent removal of the handle from the spindle sleeve. The coupler in the coupling position extends into the recess and prevents removal of the handle from the spindle sleeve. The spindle is movably received in the spindle sleeve and selectively retains the coupler in the coupling position.

Intelligent Lock and Latch Control System

An intelligent lock and latch system which may include a housing that can be coupled to a post. The system employs a latch pin that can coupled to a gate and used in connection with the housing to secure the gate. The housing can further comprise a front cavity, a back cavity, one or more mounting holes, a slot, and a recess. The housing can be coupled to the post by one or more fasteners through the housing's mounting holes or using a mounting adapter. The intelligent lock and latch system can further comprise a back cover supporting gears, an electrical system and motor to power the gears, and a keypad to operate the system that be a standalone system or can communicate through wireless communication to a hub or mobile device.

Toggle latch mechanism

A toggle latch device translates a first push and release of a button to a locking pin translation from retracted to extended from within a housing. A second push and release of the button reverses the locking pin translation from extended to retracted back within the housing. The latch button remains desirably flush with the housing after each push and release. The translation of the latch button and that of the locking pin is angularly displaced by 90 degrees allowing the toggle latch device to employ a unique lever system which includes a buckling spring combined with a reversing hat which forces the locking pin in each of extension and retraction.
