AIRCRAFT DOOR HANDLE WITH LIMITED APPLICABLE LOAD
A handle for opening and closing a door of an aircraft is provided. The handle has a base part lockable to a rotatable shaft of an opening mechanism of the door, a hand gripping part connected to the base part, and a hinge connecting the base part to the hand gripping part to allow relative rotation of the hand gripping part with respect to the base part about a first axis. At least one seat is integral with the base part and at least one seat is integral with the hand gripping part, the seats being adjacent and aligned along a second axis parallel to the first axis. A mechanical fuse element of constraint is received in the seats, such that by applying to the hand gripping part a bending stress around the hinge greater than a predetermined threshold, the mechanical fuse element of constraint shears between the seats.
Control circuit and control method for smart lock
A circuit for a smart lock includes a state detection unit, a main control chip and a motor driving unit, the state detection unit includes optocoupler sensors U21, U31 and a Hall sensor; the optocoupler sensor U21 is configured to form a first in-position signal, the optocoupler sensor U31 is configured to form a second in-position signal, the Hall sensor is configured to detect whether the state of the lock body is unlocked in position so as to form an auxiliary signal; the main control chip is configured to output a control signal according to the first and second in-position signals and the auxiliary signal; and the motor driving unit is configured to drive the motor to rotate forward or reverse or stop rotating according to the control signal.
Closure latch assembly with latch mechanism having roller pawl assembly
A closure latch assembly having a latch mechanism is provided. The latch mechanism includes a ratchet and a pawl assembly pivotally supported for movement between a ratchet holding position whereat the pawl assembly is positioned to hold the ratchet in its striker capture position and a ratchet releasing position whereat the pawl assembly is located to permit movement of the ratchet to its striker release position. The pawl assembly has a carrier and a pawl configured for rotation relative to one another about a pawl pin and a roller carried by the carrier. The roller is disposed between the pawl and the ratchet for selective rolling movement therebetween. The roller is disposed into abutment with a closing surface of the ratchet while the pawl assembly is in the ratchet holding position and is spaced from closing surface while the pawl assembly is in the ratchet releasing position.
Case and method of manufacturing the same
A case includes a first member and a second member configured in such a way that a closed space is formed between the first and second members in a state where the first and second members abut against each other. The first member includes a shaft portion extending toward the second member. The second member includes a shaft support portion including a circumferential wall portion that surrounds one end portion of the shaft portion. The shaft portion includes an enlarged-diameter portion that is the one end portion melted in such a way as to be enlarged in diameter.
Modified tilt latch bolt
An improved tilt latch bolt for a double-hung window with a groove or channel formed in either the biased or planar portion of the bolt nose for engaging a portion of the window frame when the window is under duress is disclosed herein. The grooves and channels define a depth of at least five thousandths of an inch (0.127 cm). The deformable cantilever, by virtue of being formed above, and extending over the channel, is resilient such that were a portion of the window jamb to clear the width of channel, the deformable cantilever provides a small degree of tolerance to capture the wayward window jamb before it inadvertently rotates out of the sash, for example in inclement weather conditions.
DOOR LATCH CLASP ASSEMBLY
A door latch clasp assembly configured for use with a door having a door latch assembly and a door latch plate is provided. The door latch clasp assembly includes a first aperture section having a first aperture. The first aperture section has an arcuate cross-sectional shape. A second aperture section has a second aperture and the second aperture section has an arcuate cross-sectional shape. An intermediate section extends from the first aperture section to the second aperture section. The intermediate section has an arcuate cross-sectional shape and a latch assembly aperture. The arcuate cross-sectional shapes of the first and the second aperture sections and the arcuate cross-sectional shape of the intermediate section are configured to approximate an arcuate cross-sectional shape of a perimeter wall of a face bore of the door.
Portable door lock
A door locking device having a locking bar with a first section and a second section pivotally connected to the first section and, the second section being provided with a protrusion. There is also provided a housing having a first end comprising a face and a recess therein. The first section of the locking bar is received and retained, within the recess of the housing, and the pivotal connection is orientated with an axis of rotation that is non-parallel with the longitudinal axis of the locking bar.
Lubricant-free vehicle door lock
A vehicle lock which eliminates the need for lubrication and which includes a bracket, a first base attached to the bracket, a second base attached to the bracket, aligned first and second apertures in the first and second bases for slidably receiving a. locking pin, a replaceable first locking pin wear protector lockably insertable in and selectively removable from the first base to prevent contact between the locking pin and the inner edge of the first base which defines the first aperture, and a replaceable second locking pin wear protector lockably insertable in and selectively removable from the second base to prevent contact between the locking pin and the inner edge of the second base which defines the second aperture.
Residential entryway door with concealed multipoint lock
A door panel for use in a residential entryway includes a frame having a first stile, a second stile, a top rail connecting the first stile to the second stile, and a bottom rail connecting the first stile to the second stile. The door panel also includes a pair of opposing skins on respective faces of the frame. The first stile includes a channel along a length thereof on an interior longitudinal surface of the first stile. A cover is attached to the interior longitudinal surface of the first stile to at least partially seal the channel
Method of installing door hardware
A method of installing a receiving member for a latch assembly or strike assembly in a door or jamb. The receiving member including a base plate, a wall around the perimeter of the base plate, the wall extending substantially perpendicular to the base plate, and a flange extending outwardly from the perimeter of the wall distal the base plate. The base plate has an aperture therein configured to allow a latch to pass therethrough.
