Variable spring rate chassis

An apparatus including a chassis assembly having a housing, a spindle rotatably mounted to the housing, a spring collar rotatably mourned to the housing, a first biasing element rotationally urging the spindle toward a spindle home position, and a second biasing element rotationally urging the spring collar toward a spring collar home position. The apparatus may further include a handle mounted on the chassis such that the chassis biases the handle to a handle home position with a return torque. The handle is engaged with the spindle such that the first biasing element contributes to the return torque. In certain embodiments, the handle may further be engaged with the spring collar such that the second biasing element contributes to the return torque.

Latch assembly

An appliance door closure assembly is provided and comprises an inner door selectively coupled with an outer door. An anchor is in connection with the inner door and defines a retention space. A latch assembly is in connection with the outer door. The latch assembly includes a first cam having a first contact surface and pivotally coupled to a base. A second cam has a second contact surface engaged with the first contact surface of the first cam. The latch assembly is movable between a first position and a second position.

Contamination resistant appliance latch

An appliance lid lock mechanism provides a lock pin that may be extended into or withdrawn out of a lock cavity that receives a strike attached to the appliance lid interacting with the lock pin when the lid is closed. The lock pin communicates with the electric actuator on the opposite side of the lock pin from the lock pin's entry into the lock cavity by means of sidebars passing to the side of the lock cavity. The lock bar and sidebars are substantially coplanar with an actuation axis to prevent passage of liquid along these elements between the lock pin and the actuator.

LOW TOUCH UTENSIL

A device for reducing direct contact between a person's hand and an object in their environment. The device is a low touch utensil comprising a body with a top surface, a bottom surface, and a peripheral wall extending therebetween. A handle provided on the body is grasped in a single hand of a user. The user manipulates the body to bring at least one region of the utensil's body into contact with a surface of an object in their environment, particularly a surface the user might think is contaminated with viruses, bacteria or other substances. The user manipulates the body to apply a pushing force on the object or a pulling force on the object in order to move the object, activate a function of the object, or deactivate a function of the object. The contact region on the body may be a specially configured region of the peripheral wall.

An electric lock including a main base, a lock bolt, an elastic rod, a driving assembly, and a remote receiver is provided. The lock bolt is pivotally rotatably disposed on a top surface of the main base. The elastic rod is movably arranged in the main base and connected to a free end of the lock bolt. The driving assembly is disposed on a side of the main base and connected to the elastic rod. The remote receiver is coupled to the driving assembly. In a remote mode, the remote receiver is adapted to receive a signal to turn on the driving assembly, and the driving assembly drives the lock bolt through the elastic rod to rotate relative to the main base to switch to a locked state or an unlocked state.

Lock device

Lock device (1) which incorporates a closure assembly (2) that can move between an open position and a closed position, a locking device to lock said closure assembly (2) in the closed position, a first actuator (3, 31) and a second actuator (4, 41), both the first actuator (3, 31) and the second actuator (4, 41) having a locked position, in which a locking or retention action is applied, and an unlocked position, both the first and the second actuators having respective control devices which allow orders to be given to change the position of each respective actuator, wherein the first actuator and the second actuator are arranged in such a way that unlocking the locking device requires that both control devices place their respective actuator in the unlocked position.
