REKEYABLE LOCK WITH SMALL INCREMENTS
A rekeyable lock cylinder with a cylinder body and a plug assembly. The lock cylinder includes a plurality of key followers and a corresponding plurality of racks disposed in the plug assembly. Disengaging the racks from the key followers allows rekeying of the lock cylinder.
KEY COMBINATION ELEMENT IN KEY BLANK AND KEY
A key device includes a generally elongate shaft portion that has first and second oppositely directed side surfaces, at least one of which is cuttable to form key cuts that define a key combination surface. First and second key combination elements, disposed in the elongate shaft portion, are side-by-side one another at different lateral positions along the width of the elongate shaft portion and located at overlapping longitudinal positions along the length of the elongate shaft portion. The first and second key combination elements are each pivotable about a pivot axis.
ECCENTRIC BARREL PIN ASSEMBLIES AND USES THEREOF IN A CYLINDER LOCK
The disclosure relates to a cylinder lock wherein an eccentric barrel pin assembly with two contact points within the keyway are independently movable within the barrel to a common shear line against a single nested column pin assembly.
Lock
A lock is provided, including a sleeve member, a main body and an engaging member. The main body is rotatably disposed in the sleeve member and has a first connecting portion, one of the main body and the sleeve member has a slide slot which extends along an axial direction and the other has a protrusive block, when the protrusive block corresponds to the slide slot in the axial direction, the main body is movable relative to detachable from the sleeve member. The engaging member is rotatably disposed in the sleeve member and has a second connecting portion, one of the engaging member and the main body has a hook and the other has a slot, when the first and second connecting portions are assembled to each other, the engaging member and the main body are co-rotatable, and the hook is engaged with the slot.
High security locking system which forms a deviating picking path and associated deviated key
A locking system has a lock housing having first pin slots, a lock cylinder having second pin slots and being supported within the lock housing such that rotation of the lock cylinder is dependent upon a position of tumbler pins within the pin slots, and an idler block defining a keyway to receive a deviated key in which the idler block is rotatable relative to the lock cylinder between an entry position and a pin position aligning the key with the pin slots. One or more translating shields in the idler block are movable from an open position in which the keyway is unobstructed by the shield to allow for insertion or removal of the deviated key and a closed position in which the translating shield protrudes at least partway into a path of the keyway without interfering with rotation of the deviated key with the idler block.
Modular and interchangeable lock plug
An exemplary lock apparatus includes a housing and a plug assembly rotatably mounted in the housing. The plug assembly includes a tumbler assembly operable to selectively prevent rotation of the plug assembly relative to the housing and a retention mechanism operable to selectively prevent removal of the plug assembly from the housing. A system including the lock apparatus may include a change key configured to actuate the tumbler assembly without actuating the retention mechanism and/or a control key configured to actuate both the tumbler assembly and the retention mechanism.
LOCKING SYSTEM
A locking system may include a first cylinder portion may be extended along a main axis, a second cylinder portion may be extended along the main axis, a front plate may be coupled and rotatable with the first cylinder portion, a plurality of code pins, a plurality of spring-loaded driver pins, a main shaft may be disposed within a first central hole, a second central hole, and a key. The key may include an elongated key shaft and a plurality of key needles may be extended parallel with the elongated key shaft. The main shaft may be configured to be coupled to and rotatable with one of the first cylinder portion and the second cylinder.
Operating a lock cylinder with multiple, supplemental locking elements
A lock assembly includes a plug with a keyway, primary pins aligned with the keyway for controlling rotation of the plug, a sidebar for controlling rotation of the plug, secondary pins adjacent the keyway for controlling movement of the sidebar, and at least one supplemental sidebar control element for controlling movement of the sidebar. The lock assembly is operated by simultaneously manipulating the primary pins, the secondary pins, and the supplemental sidebar control element to place each in a respective position and/or orientation to permit rotation of the plug and to permit sufficient movement of the sidebar to permit rotation of the plug and then applying torque to the plug.
DUAL LOCKING COMBINATION PADLOCK WITH DECODE FUNCTION
A padlock comprising a lock body, a combination mechanism to control the movement of the cam-spindle vertically, a key mechanism to control the movement of the cam-spindle rotationally, more than one clutch that is mounted in the cam-spindle which controls the vertically movement of the cam-spindle, wherein the cam-spindle is configured to control the locking and unlocking of the combination mechanism, and wherein more than one dial is mounted in the lock body, a locking bolt contacts the shackle, and the shackle has a long leg and a short leg with a bolt-receiving-cutout.
