Privacy Lock And Flush Pull With Integrated Strike Lockset
A sliding privacy door and lockset system for doors of the types generally known as “barn doors” and/or “pocket doors”, due to these doors being slidably mounted on a rail or rails positioned above a doorway or otherwise in or near a doorway. The present invention includes a lockset comprising a strike plate mounted to a door, and a lockset sub-assembly mounted to a door jamb. The lockset sub-assembly includes an actuating arm connected axially to a rotatable extension of a thumb turn. During operation, the distal end of the actuating arm rotates from an unlocked position to a locked position, that is, the distal end of the actuating arm rests within a slot in the strike plate. The strike plate may include a bump to limit the actuating arm's rotation, and a flush pull handle comprising an opening configured to provide a user's hand(s) with a place to grip.
Operating a lock cylinder with multiple, supplemental locking elements
A lock assembly includes a plug with a keyway, primary pins aligned with the keyway for controlling rotation of the plug, a sidebar for controlling rotation of the plug, secondary pins adjacent the keyway for controlling movement of the sidebar, and at least one supplemental sidebar control element for controlling movement of the sidebar. The lock assembly is operated by simultaneously manipulating the primary pins, the secondary pins, and the supplemental sidebar control element to place each in a respective position and/or orientation to permit rotation of the plug and to permit sufficient movement of the sidebar to permit rotation of the plug and then applying torque to the plug.
Systems and methods for preventing the opening of a door by unauthorized personnel
Systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed involving a door blocking apparatus to reduce a likelihood of, and possibly prevent, opening of a door by unauthorized personnel. The apparatus may be networked in a security system and may be connectable to an online security platform. In a particular embodiment, an embodiment of the invention may include a security system involving a plurality of door locations having a plurality of networked door blocking apparatus. Each door blocking apparatus may include a door blocking mechanism operable by a user on a safety side of a door, such as having the user rotate an apparatus handle that rotates the door blocking mechanism between a non-blocking position and a blocking position. In the non-blocking position, the door blocking apparatus does not block the door from opening and closing. In the blocking position, the door blocking apparatus blocks the door from opening and from closing completely.
SHIELDED SELF-LATCHING LOCKING ASSEMBLY FOR A UTILITY VAULT
A shielded locking system for securely closing a lid on an enclosure, such as a grade level utility vault, including an L-bolt connected to a spring-biased slide member positioned on the underside of the lid that rotates in a slotted housing that securely retains the L-bolt under the lid, the slide member engaging an abutment on the inside of the enclosure when the lid is forced down over an opening in the enclosure by downward force on the lid which progressively causes the latch to retract against the spring-bias from contact with the abutment and then snaps the latch into a spring-biased locking position under the abutment, and a non-conductive cover positioned over and connected to the locking system to shield the L-bolt from electrical conductivity from within the enclosure.
Compression latch with key holding
Latches are disclosed. One latch includes a housing, a cap, a bushing, and a ball. The housing is configured for engagement to the panel. The housing has a longitudinal axis and defines an aperture along the longitudinal axis. The aperture includes a cutout area. The cap and the bushing are mounted within the aperture for rotation about the longitudinal axis. The cap comprises an outer surface including a drive projection and a cutout area. The bushing comprises an upper surface and a sidewall positioned between the cap and the housing. The sidewall defines a drive surface positioned to contact the drive projection of the cap and an opening. The ball is positioned within the opening of the bushing. The ball is configured to be positioned at least partially within the cutout area of the housing or the cutout area of the cap.
Weighted rodent bait stations and related methods
Rodent bait station assemblies and methods for assembly and bundling.
Locking piece assembly for latch bolts
A locking piece assembly adapted for installation in a cylindrical lock and meant to engage a locking mechanism comprises a locking piece and a lock button. The locking piece has one end adapted to engage the locking mechanism and an opposite end with a connecting hook. The lock button has an aperture adapted for attachment to the locking piece connecting hook, and can be depressed to move the locking piece inward to engage the locking mechanism after the locking piece assembly is installed in the cylindrical lock. The lock button can be installed onto the locking piece by hand, specifically by inserting the connecting hook into the aperture on the lock button, pivoting the lock button with respect to the locking piece, and placing the locking piece and lock button into alignment. After installation, the connecting hook is held in place to prevent separation from the lock button aperture.
Lockable firearm safe
A gun safe adapted for securing a firearm. The safe includes a storage chamber formed by a lid and a base. The safe includes a latch mechanism that can be locked and unlocked electronically. The safe can also be provided with a manual lock override.
Lockable firearm safe
A gun safe adapted for securing a firearm. The safe includes a storage chamber formed by a lid and a base. The safe includes a latch mechanism that can be locked and unlocked electronically. The safe can also be provided with a manual lock override.
Key having a catch and a replaceable blade, lock, and operating method thereof (variants)
Proposed is a group of inventions relating to locking mechanisms, containing keys which can be separated into parts and which have catches and a plurality of replaceable blades which fit a plurality of locks, the replaceable blades of the keys of all of said locks attach to the catches of one key part having a bow, thus reducing the weight and overall size of a bunch of keys, allowing a person to carry only one key part having a bow and a plurality of key blades pertaining to different locks, reducing the weight and size of a bunch of keys, and a lock having corresponding mating mechanisms, increasing the security of the locking mechanism. The drawing shows the position of two catches on a key shank, using the example of a key to a pin-tumbler mechanism.
