Intelligent door lock system for use with a door assembly

An intelligent door lock system that permits both electronic and manual control of a deadbolt. The door lock system can include an inner bezel assembly, an outer bezel assembly, and a deadbolt assembly, where the deadbolt assembly can be coupled to the outer bezel assembly via a twist-lock feature. The inner bezel assembly also includes a puck assembly that seats within an inner bezel. The puck assembly can be retained within or released from the inner bezel via a latch assembly. The outer bezel assembly includes a display assembly that seats within an outer bezel. The outer bezel is coupled to a motor chassis assembly that includes a motor and gear assembly having a series of gears that translate movement of dial elements or a motor into movement of a bolt element between locked and unlocked positions.

A smart cable lock is provided that is configured to mechanically secure items and provide an automatic determination that securing is achieved. The smart cable may be integrated into a vehicle, or otherwise may communicate with a vehicle. The vehicle includes one or more ports configured to house the cable when not in use. In some embodiments, an accessory includes one or more ports configured to engage with the connector. In some embodiments, the cable is affixed to the vehicle at one end, using a retractor, for example, and can be unspooled, intertwined with equipment, and then secured to a port on the vehicle. The smart cable lock secures and releases a latch based on user indications and authorizations. For example, if the cable is destroyed or damaged, or an unauthorized indication is made, the cable lock system may sound an alarm, or otherwise alert the user.

Portable electronic lock

A portable electronic lock for luggage, comprising: a housing and a securement member in cooperation with the housing to secure an item to the lock; a locking mechanism in the housing in communication with the securement member to releasably secure the securement member to the housing; a communications module in the housing for operating the locking mechanism to release and secure the securement member in response to a wireless signal; and a secondary release system for releasing the locking mechanism, wherein the secondary release system is selectively operable by a user.

Cable lock

A cable lock (10), including: a cable (16), for locking an object (26) thereby; a first, being the internal peripheral electric conductor (54B), surrounding the cable (16); a peripheral insulating layer (22), surrounding the first peripheral electric conductor (54B); a second, being the external peripheral electric conductor (54A), surrounding the peripheral insulating layer (22); and an electrical circuit (62), for alerting (56) once any region (58A) of the second peripheral electric conductor (54A) electrically contacts an adjacent region (14A) of the first peripheral electric conductor (54B), by crossing the peripheral insulating layer (22), thereby a blade (28) pressing on the second peripheral electric conductor (54A) induces the electrical contact of the second peripheral electric conductor (54A) with the first peripheral electric conductor (54B), thereby the electrical circuit (62) alerts (56) prior to cutting the cable (16).

Security strap

A security device also referred to as a security strap comprises a locking mechanism having at least a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion and the second portion releasably engage one another. The security device has at least two attachment mechanisms, wherein one of the at least two attachment mechanisms extends outward from the locking mechanism, and wherein another of the at least two attachment mechanisms extends from the locking mechanism in an opposite direction to the one of the at least two attachment mechanisms, wherein each of the at least two attachment mechanisms are separated from the locking mechanism by a length of strap material, and wherein at least one of the at least two attachment mechanisms is attached to a substrate.

Monitoring and alert system and method for latching mechanisms

A monitoring and alert system for retro-fitting to latching mechanisms. A master control unit is located proximate to an operator of the system. It includes a user interface having: an input enabling an operator to arm the system and then allow it to operate with minimal interaction of the operator. It also includes an output alerting the operator as to the status of the system in relation to a plurality of prescribed conditions. One or more slave units having sensing units detecting a latched and unlatched state are attached to a discrete latching mechanism for detecting the latching status thereof. Each slave unit comprises sensing means to detect whether the latching mechanism is in a latched state or an unlatched state.
