Methods and systems for enhancing firearm safety through wireless network monitoring
A firearm includes a firing mechanism and a sensor device. The sensor device includes a subscriber identity module configured to communicate with a server over a signaling channel of a wireless communications network. The Sensor device is configured to enable/disable the firing mechanism in accordance with instructions received by the SIM from the server. Movements and/or attempted operations of the firearm may be monitored using an application running on a mobile device, which application receives information concerning the firearm over the signaling channel of the wireless communications network.
PCB mounted security slot
A portable communication or computing device with security against theft, includes a PC mounted security slot which is accessible through an outer wall via an access opening therein. The security slot is defined in a rigid material which is either soldered with pins or connected with screws to a printed circuit board or the like inside the portable device. The security system includes a detector for detecting any instance of the cable of the lock associated with the security slot having been cut.
Methods and systems for enhancing firearm safety through wireless network monitoring
A firearm includes a firing mechanism and a sensor. The sensor is configured for wireless communication over a short range RF network with a hub worn or carried by a user of the firearm. The hub includes a subscriber identity module configured to communicate with a server over a signaling channel of a wireless telecommunications network. The sensor is additionally configured to control an enable/disable mechanism in the firearm in accordance with instructions received from the hub.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO CONTROL LOCKING AND UNLOCKING OF DOORS USING POWERLINE AND RADIO FREQUENCY COMMUNICATIONS
An electronic door lock system automatically controls locking and unlocking of a door. A door lock controller interfaces with an electronic door lock, sends messages including door lock data to a local receiver, and receives messages including door lock commands from the local receiver. In turn, the local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network. The hub receives the door lock data, applies a rule set to make lock operation decisions, and sends messages, which may comprise commands to operate the door lock, through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the commands to the door lock controller to automatically control the electronic door lock.

Folding lock with alarm device
A folding lock includes a lock body having a latching mechanism, a jointed bar hoop having a plurality of jointed bars pivotably connected to one another, and a closing bar. A first end of the jointed bar hoop is permanently fastened to the lock body. The closing bar forms a free second end of the jointed bar hoop. The closing bar can be latched to the lock body by the latching mechanism. The lock body includes an alarm device for outputting an alarm signal. The closing bar can selectively be latched to the lock body in a first closing position or in a second closing position, with the alarm device not being able to be activated when the closing bar adopts the first closing position and with the alarm device being able to be activated or being activated when the closing bar adopts the second closing position.
