Umbrella
A novel umbrella includes a support post, a housing supported thereby, spokes pivotally disposed about the housing, a canopy, and an actuator. The housing has a top hub and a bottom hub. The actuator slides the hubs together to pivot the spokes away from the housing, whereby the umbrella moves from a closed position to an open position. Rollers are retained within the top hub, and each spoke has a spoke cam attached to one end. The spokes pivot away from the housing by having a roller surface of each spoke cam slide along each respective roller. The actuator may include a beam pivotally disposed about the support post, a strut pivotally disposed about the support post and coupled to the beam, a car slide slideably disposed within the beam, and a cable coupled to the strut and the housing.
Portable fire safety enclosure system
The portable fire safety enclosure system comprises a backpack, a protective cover, an extinguisher, and a breathing apparatus. The backpack may be adapted to be worn by a user to protect the user while the user exits from a burning building. The protective cover may comprise a flame retardant umbrella coupled to a clear flame retardant curtain. The protective cover may be deployed from within the backpack to surround the user and to prevent contact with burning materials. The extinguisher may be activated to spray a fire-suppressing substance from a nozzle located on the top of the protective cover. The extinguisher may extinguish flames that prevent exit from the burning building. The breathing apparatus may be adapted to provide a breathable gas to the user.
Shade apparatus
The invention features a shade apparatus adapted to provide shade to an individual or individuals while they are outside and in need of shade from sunlight. Aspects of embodiments of the present invention contemplate a shade apparatus that is easily portable and easily adapted to the sun's changing positions, thereby providing the individual/user with shade from sunlight.
Vehicle-carrying leisure-purpose parasol rack
A vehicle-carrying leisure-purpose parasol rack includes a screw rod including a hollow tubular grip and a holding seat attached thereto; a connection ring having a thread in mating engagement with the screw rod; a plurality of clamp arms, each of which includes a clamping terminal in a hook form, an extension section, and a mounting terminal, the clamping terminal and the mounting terminal being arranged on two opposite ends of the extension section, the mounting terminals respectively corresponding to retaining notches formed in the connection ring so that the clamp arms are detachably connected to the connection ring; and an assisting member having a fixed terminal and a hollow tubular terminal. The fixed terminal is detachably connected to the extension section of one of the clamp arms, such that the hollow tubular terminal is in alignment with the hollow tubular grip.

Special-shaped folding umbrella
A special-shaped folding umbrella which includes a plurality of 3-fold ribs and a plurality of 4-fold ribs is revealed. When the umbrella is closed, a height of a first connecting point of the 3-fold rib and that of a first connecting point of the 4-fold rib are quite similar (almost the same). A height of a sixth connecting point of the 3-fold rib is at similar to that of a seventh connecting point of the 4-fold rib. A third connecting point of the 3-fold rib and a fourth connecting point of the 4-fold rib are at similar height and so are a fourth connecting point of the 3-fold rib and a fifth connecting point of the 4-fold rib. A tip of the 3-fold rib and a tip of the 4-fold rib are maintained at similar level while the umbrella is closed.
