An article for providing shade includes a sunshade and a slip-on mounting base. The sunshade includes a shield, a set of ribs connected to the shield, and a plurality of support arms connected to the shield. The slip-on mounting base includes a body that defines a cavity and an opening. The body is configured to slip on the back portion of an item of outdoor furniture into the cavity through the opening. The body is stretchable and is configured to stretch to receive the back portion of different items of outdoor furniture with different sizes. The slip-on mounting base includes a plurality of receptacles attached to the body. Each receptacle includes an opening to receive a support arm of the sunshade. Each receptacle holds the corresponding support arm such that the shield, when unfolded, covers at least a portion of the back portion of the item of outdoor furniture.

An umbrella base includes an elongated receiver and a weighted housing coupled to and at least partially surrounding the elongated receiver. The weighted housing includes a bottom surface configured to be placed directly on an underlying surface and an opposite top surface. A retention system is supported on the weighted housing. The present invention relates generally to a drone umbrella device primarily comprised of an umbrella, at least one drone and a mobile application. The at least one drone is attached to the umbrella, such that the umbrella can hover over the top of a user. The umbrella is comprised of a telescoping handle assembly that has a detachable handle. The detachable handle has an internal GPS transmitter that communicates with a receiver on the drone, such that the drone follows the location of the detachable handle. In this manner, a user can retain the detachable handle, while the device hovers over the user as he or she sits, walks, runs, etc.

The deck umbrella support system may include a mount assembly having a mount tube with a mount plate attached to it. The mount tube has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the upper end includes a mount aperture formed through it. An adapter assembly, which is at least partially hollow, includes an adapter tube which is designed and configured to receive at least a portion of the umbrella pole therein and to be inserted into the mount tube via the mount aperture. A locking assembly is disposed proximate to the lower end of the mount tube to secure the adapter tube in the mount tube.

To make shade over a desired area, position the holder apparatus to block sun, suspend the closed umbrella shade apparatus at the overhead hanger, open the suspended umbrella with a simple vertical lift of the lower handle to lock at the center shaft. To store shade, simply unlock the open umbrella with a push of the handle button, allow gravity to lower the handle, and remove the closed shade from the hanger. The holder apparatus can be left in place, or quickly removed for complete shade system storage.
