Motor vehicle door lock
The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock comprising an actuation/locking lever mechanism, with a first lever and a second lever, both levers being couplable with each other in at least two different relative positions. At least the one, first lever comprises a detent spring connected thereto for engagement with at least one detent recess on the other, second lever.
Vehicle door control
A user-actuatable vehicle door control, comprising: at least one force sensing member disposed beneath at least one force transfer member, the at least one force sensing member operative to detect the intensity of forces applied thereto, and the at least one force transfer member moveable upon user application thereto of one or more forces so as to transfer the one or more user-applied forces to one or more locations on the at least one force sensing member; and a controller operatively connected to the at least one force sensing member. The controller operates to: map the location and intensity of each of the one or more user-applied forces as detected by the at least one force sensing member; compare the mapped location and intensity information received from the at least one force sensing member to pre-defined force profiles, each pre-defined force profile corresponding to at least one pre-defined vehicle command; and direct the execution of one or more of the pre-defined vehicle commands when the mapped location and intensity information received from the at least one force sensing member corresponds to a pre-defined force profile associated with a vehicle command (such as, for instance, unlocking the vehicle's door(s), turning on exterior and/or interior lights, etc.).

Motor vehicle lock together with a manufacturing method
The present invention relates to a lock having a lock housing (3, 4) together with a lock cover (2), a lock case (9), a locking mechanism which is mounted on the base surface of the lock case (9), and an activation device for opening the locking mechanism. An activation lever of the activation device is at least partially covered by a pivotable flap (5) of a lock covering means (2, 3). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the flap together with a lock cover (2) by injection molding.

Actuating device
The invention relates to an actuating device for joint action upon at least two different elements of a motor vehicle door lock, with at least one sheathed cable having a core and sheath, wherein the sheathed cable is provided in the longitudinal extent thereof with at least two force transmission units which are designed for interaction with a first element at one end and with a second element at the other end upon action on the sheathed cable, and one of the two elements is designed as an actuating lever, wherein the other element is a closing/opening element operating on a locking mechanism.

Vehicle door lock apparatus
A vehicle door lock apparatus includes a housing, a fork in the housing, a pawl selectively preventing pivoting movement of the fork, a first lever having one end coupleable to a door handle and a second lever pivotably supported at a second end of the first lever and shiftable from a first position to a second position by application of inertial force. When the first lever pivots and the second lever is in the first position the second lever comes into contact with the pawl and releases the fork and when the second lever is in the second position it moves with the first lever independently of the pawl. A third lever selectively places the second lever in the second position and a retention device prevents the second lever from moving the pawl when first lever moves and the third lever is holding the second lever in the second position.

Lock for a vehicle door with a spring plate in the inlet region of the locking bolt
A lock is provided especially for a door (2) or flap of a motor vehicle. Said lock has a lock housing (3) and a locking mechanism having a rotary latch (4) and a pawl, wherein the rotary latch (4) is arranged pivotably about an axis (22) and interacts with a locking bow (9), which is assigned to the bodywork (8), during the opening and closing of the door (2). At least one spring plate (15) which is oriented substantially parallel to the rotary latch (4) and surrounds the locking bow (9) in the locking position of the lock is arranged in the lock inlet region of the lock housing (3).
