SECURITY DEVICE
A security device for a door in a doorway. The device includes a floor-carriable portion and a door-carriable portion magnetically co-operable with the floor-carriable portion to stop the door opening past a communication position at which the door is positioned to guard the doorway and ajar to enable the communication via the doorway. At least one of the floor-carriable portion and the door-carriable portion is reconfigurable to allow the door to open past the communication position.
TIE BAR AND GUIDE FOR CASEMENT WINDOW
A tie bar and guide assembly for casement windows having a roll form tie bar that snaps on to the tie bar guide without extending through it. The tie bar has locating openings that engage tabs on the tie bar guide to locate and secure the guide prior to installation. The tabs are depressed and disengaged when fasteners are used to secure the tie bar assembly to the window frame. The tie bar can include rivet locking points located close to the top and bottom of the tie bar to provide better security and increased stability for preventing water and air infiltration. The rivet locking points can be adjustable to optimize the fit of the window sash within the frame. The snap-on design reduces the overall height of the tie bar assembly thereby enabling a closer fit of the sash within the frame and reducing the required width of the window frame needed to accommodate the locking mechanism.
SELF-LATCHING AUTOMATIC FLUSH-BOLT FOR DOUBLE DOORS
Self-latching Automatic Flush-bolt for double doors is disclosed. This flush bolt invention eliminates the need for auxiliary coordination devices and allows for the unrestricted movement of each door to maintain security and building code compliance.
Sliding bolt latch and use thereof
A sliding bolt latch as disclosed herein is convenient to use and more reliable than counterpart door locking mechanisms of the prior art. A user may open and close a door with only one hand, but the present mechanism requires both a rotational movement and a translational movement of elements against a biasing force. Such requirement makes opening doors much more difficult for livestock confined to spaces by the closed doors. Also, the biasing of elements into the locking state makes embodiments of the invention less likely to unlock inadvertently in the presence of ambient vibrations.
Laundry treatment apparatus with drawer locking unit
A laundry treatment apparatus includes a drawer. The laundry treatment apparatus further includes a cabinet that has an entrance opening and that is configured to receive the drawer through the entrance opening. The laundry treatment apparatus further includes a drum that is located inside the drawer and that is configured to receive laundry. The laundry treatment apparatus further includes a drum drive unit that is located inside the drawer and that is configured to rotate the drum. The laundry treatment apparatus further includes a fastening mechanism that is configured to reciprocate in a first direction that is either up and down or left and right with respect to a front of the drawer. The laundry treatment apparatus further includes a transfer member that is configured to reciprocate in a second direction that is either up and down or left and right with respect to the front of the drawer.
Chassis retention assembly
A retention bracket configured for use with a latch mechanism including a laterally extending housing. The retention bracket includes a first wall, a second wall, a collar, and a deformable section. The first and second walls are longitudinally offset from one another and are structured to receive the housing therebetween. The collar extends longitudinally outward from one of the walls and defines an opening having an effective diameter. The deformable section has a natural state in which the effective diameter is a first diameter, and a deformed state in which the effective diameter is a second diameter greater than the first diameter.
WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A washing machine includes: a case defining a receiving space and an open surface, a drawer provided in the case and configured to slide out through the open surface of the case, the drawer being configured to perform at least one of a washing operation, a rinsing operation, a spin-drying operation, or an air-drying operation for laundry, and a locking device configured to limit a sliding motion of the drawer relative to the case. The locking device includes: a holder provided on an inner wall surface of the case, a lever provided in the drawer and configured to be inserted into the holder, and an elastic member provided in a portion of the holder to which the lever is inserted and configured to come into contact with the lever in a space between the holder and the lever.
Mounting system, devices, methods and uses thereof
The present specification discloses systems, devices, and methods provide a mounting system which includes rail and a bracket which is selectively secured to the rail. The bracket is selectively and/or automatically locked to the rail when positioned on the rail, and may be removed from the rail by activating one or more buttons or actuators. The disclosed mounting systems, devices, and methods enable a device to be protected from impact and moisture exposure, enable a device to be securely mounted on a base, and/or enable a device to be quickly secured and removed from a base.
EMERGENCY DEADBOLT DEVICE WITH SINGLE ACTION UNLOCK
The unlocking mechanism of the present invention is actuated as a result of contact with the door's existing lever. When an occupant rotates the door's lever, it not only retracts the door's latch, but the handle will also engage the unlocking mechanism of the present invention, the door lever engaging the unlocking mechanism. The door's lever follows the geometry of the cam thereby pushing the sliding bar of the unlocking mechanism thereby engaging a latch release. The latch release moves the locked lever of the door's deadbolt assembly and the deadbolt is retracted. When the door's lever is returned to its normal state, a spring pushes the sliding bar backward to the ready position. The latch release rotates to its ready position and the mechanism is ready for a subsequent activation.
Magnetic latch for fastening a hinged closure member to a support
A magnetic latch for fastening a closure member to a support. The magnetic latch comprises a keeper assembly including a magnet and a latch bolt assembly having: an elongated frame (32); a latch bolt (14) moveable between a latching position and a retracted position; a latch bolt biasing member urging the latch bolt into its retracted position; and a latch bolt operating mechanism configured to move the latch bolt from its latching position to its retracted position against a magnetic attraction. The latch bolt operating mechanism comprises: an effort link rod (37); a load link rod (34); and a second-order lever (35) interposed between the effort link rod and the load link rod. The second-order lever reduces the force required to operate the latch bolt operating mechanism thus allowing for an increased magnetic attraction of the latch bolt towards the magnet in the keeper assembly.
