Latch assembly

A latch assembly includes a chassis, a latch bolt moveably mounted on the chassis and having a closed position for retaining a striker and an open position for releasing the striker, a pawl having an engaged position at which the pawl is engaged with the latch bolt to hold the latch bolt in the closed position and a disengaged position at which the pawl is disengaged from the latch bolt, thereby allowing the latch bolt to move to the open position, an eccentric arrangement defining an eccentric axis and a pawl axis remote from the eccentric axis. The eccentric arrangement is rotatable about the eccentric axis, and the pawl is rotatable about the pawl axis. When the pawl moves from the engaged position to the disengaged position, the eccentric arrangement rotates in one of a clockwise and a counter-clockwise direction about the eccentric axis. With the pawl in the engaged position, a force applied to the pawl by the latch bolt creates a turning moment on the eccentric arrangement in the one of the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction, and the eccentric arrangement is prevented from rotating in said one of the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction by a moveable abutment.

Vehicle door latch device

A vehicle door latch device includes: a body includes a striker advancing groove into which a striker advances along with closing movement of the door; a latch configured to interlock with the advanced striker so as to be rotatable from an open position to a latched position; a pawl configured to be biased to rotate, in a direction towards an engaged position where the pawl is engageable with the latch in the latched position from a released position where engagement with the latch is canceled, and restrain the door in a closed position by rotating from the engaged position to the released position in conjunction with rotation of the latch, rotating from the released position to the engaged position by biasing force, and engaging with the latch; and a buffer that is made of an elastic member.

A closure, particularly for closing construction and technological apertures, the principle of which consists in that on the bottom side of the cover of the closing hole a rocker arm is pivotally mounted, the functional part of which in the closed position of the cover rests on the opposite element, which is anchored in the closing hole. The rocker arm is pivotally attached on a pin that is anchored by means of brackets to the bottom part of the cover. The axis of the pin, on which the rocker arm is mounted, may be either parallel to the longitudinal axis of the closing hole or perpendicular to it. The rocker arm and the rocker lug are balanced relative to the pin so that the closure is maintained in a closed position.

Hood latch release handle

A mechanism configured to fasten a hood panel to a vehicle body for covering a vehicle under-hood compartment includes a pivotable latch. The latch has a primary catch portion that facilitates closure of the under-hood compartment via the hood panel. The latch also has a secondary catch portion that limits position of the hood panel within a predetermined distance from the vehicle body and generates an opening between the vehicle body and the hood panel. The latch additionally has a release handle that shifts into the opening to permit operator access to the release handle for releasing the secondary catch portion to uncover the under-hood compartment. The mechanism also includes a resilient element that selectively preloads the primary catch portion to facilitate closure of the under-hood compartment and preloads the secondary catch portion to limit the position of the hood panel within the predetermined distance from the vehicle body.

FITTING FOR AN OPENABLE ELEMENT

The present disclosure relates to a fitting for an openable element such as a door, locker, hatch, window, or the like, and an openable element preferably comprising the fitting. The fitting includes a housing arranged at one side of the openable element. A shaft extends extending from the housing, such that when the fitting is arranged to the openable element, the shaft extends through a hole image of the openable element. An actuation member is arranged on the shaft and rotatable relative to the housing. The fitting further includes a fixing member arranged axially along the shaft between the housing and the actuation member, such that the fixing member is rotatable relative to the housing and the shaft between an inserting position and a first fixing position.

REMOVABLE WINDOW SYSTEM

A vehicle that includes a vehicle body defining a plurality of openings configured for receipt of a window, and a plurality of retention features that are configured to maintain the window in the opening and permit the window to be easily removed from the opening. The retention features include a rotatable latch that is configured to maintain the window in the opening. Rotation of the latch permits the window to be removed from the opening. A rotatable handle is coupled to the latch that is configured to rotate the latch. A wave washer is coupled to the handle between the handle and the latch, wherein rotation of the handle rotates the wave washer into and out of engagement with the latch to rotate the latch.

Technology is provided for a storage card adapter. The storage card adapter is used for housing storage cards (e.g., M.2 storage cards), and the storage card adapter can then be inserted into a drive bay. The storage card adapter includes a compression latch system that, when engaged, brings together the cover and carrier frame of the storage card adapter such that at least 100 lbs of compressive force is applied to thermal pads disposed on either side of storage cards housed within the storage card adapter. The compression latch system includes a cam into which a shaft of a compression latch is inserted. When a lever attached to one end of the shaft is pivoted about the shaft, a ramp on the opposite end of the shaft engages with an engagement ramp within the cam to thereby pull together the cover and carrier frame and provide the desired compressive force to the thermal pads. The storage card adapter also includes a spring latch that locks the lever of the compression latch into place when the compression latch is fully engaged with the cam.
