SASH WINDOW RESTRICTOR
20170362862 · 2017-12-21 · ·

A sash window restrictor (20) has a housing (22) which is to be let into a vertical frame member (10) of one sash (normally the upper, outer sash) of a window, at a position, say, 10 cm above the top rail of the lower sash when the windows are closed. A tab (24) is mounted in the housing and can be retracted into the housing or extended from the housing. A mechanism acts between the tab and the housing and allows the tab to be pressed into the housing and held in the housing for a period of time before the tab is released to allow the tab to extend. With the tab extended, the lower sash (12) can be lifted until it reaches the tab (24) but no further, so that a 10 cm gap will be opened at the bottom of the window.

Combination Door Assembly
20170204644 · 2017-07-20 ·

A combination door assembly includes a frame that may be coupled to a wall of a building. A door is hingedly coupled to the frame such that the door is positionable between an open position and a closed position. The door comprises a first half that is slidably coupled to a second half. The second half is positionable in an open position when the door is positioned in the closed position. Thus, the second half is configured to allow egress and entry to the building when the door is in the closed position.

Simplified system and method for secure shipment of high-value cargo
09683394 · 2017-06-20 ·

A simplified locking and mounting execution methods for protecting high-value cargo enclosed in a container, while maintaining the container indistinguishable from similar low value shipments, including an OnBoard Identity Module (OBIM) providing lock and unlock actuation activities for the Internal Locking Mechanism (ILM), both of which are externally undetectable. The OBIM interacts with a Securing Rod or similar securing feature which engages one or more container components in a manner preventing the container from being opened until a properly encoded unlocking signal is sent to the locking system via wireless methods from a remote point directing the OBIM to actuate again to unlock the container. This simplified locking mechanism provides components of a size suitable for repeated use, removal, transport, and reuse elsewhere over-and-over or cost effective solutions suitable for single use disposable applications.

Continuous handle for window

A window assembly includes a first sash having a first rail having a longitudinal axis extending between a first end and an opposite second end. A continuous handle extends along the length of the first rail and is pivotally connected to the first rail between a lowered first position and a second raised position.

Mullion structure for an appliance

A refrigerated cabinet may include: a plurality of side walls forming a cabinet body and an interior storage space, the interior storage space accessible through an opening; a first door and a second door independently positionable over the opening; and a mullion formed by the second door, wherein the first door is configured to engage with the mullion. The mullion is a fixed structure formed by a portion of the second door. The refrigerated cabinet may further include a latching mechanism configured to selectively couple the first door and the second door, wherein the latching mechanism extends through the first door to engage the second door. The latching mechanism comprises a user-actuatable interface configured to decouple the first door and the second when the user-actuatable interface is engaged by a user.

Locks for Storage Containers and the Like
20170138091 · 2017-05-18 ·

Locks for storage containers having closures such as doors, covers or lids are disclosed. The lock is mounted to she closure and is latched in such a manner as to selectively prevent opening or removal of the closure. The latch of the lock can engage a slot in the storage container, a bracket on the storage container, or a strike on the storage container. Alternatively, the latch can engage a mounting bracket on the door or other portion of the door to selectively block movement of a handle for the door. Further, the latch can have a locking device which can selectively block movement of the latch. Movement of the locking device can be selectively controlled by a magnetic key.

OVEN

An oven that has an improved structure so that the convenience of use and the energy efficiency may be improved includes a casing that has a front panel, a cooking chamber that is provided inside the casing, a door that is rotatably disposed in the casing so as to open and close the cooking chamber, and has a frame, and an individual door that is rotatably provided in the frame so as to open and close an opening provided in the frame.
