A door barricade apparatus includes a body portion having a pushing face, a port, an advancing interface, and a release interface. The apparatus further includes a shaft portion having a shaft and a door bracket. The door bracket has a throat terminating in at least an l-shaped configuration. The door bracket is pivotably coupled to the shaft at a first end and the shaft is disposed within the port.
Carrying trays and methods for transporting and installing latching assemblies on cowlings for marine drives
A carrying tray facilitates installation of a latching assembly on a cowl of a marine drive. The carrying tray comprises a plurality of latching device cavities configured to retain a plurality of latching devices in a spaced-apart orientation that positions each respective latching device with respect to its mounting position on the cowl so that the respective latching device can be directly installed onto the cowl without tangling or damaging the flexible connectors, and an actuator retainer that retains an actuator in a position with respect to its mounting position on the cowl so that the actuator can be directly installed onto the cowl without tangling or damaging the flexible connectors.

Security barrier for outward-swing doors of vehicles and method thereof
An apparatus for providing improved security to an outward-swing door of a vehicle. The outward-swing door is on a sidewall of a main housing of the vehicle and has a pivotal end and a distal end opposite to the pivotal end. The outward-swing door is outwardly pivotable about the pivotal end thereof. The apparatus comprises a connecting structure for coupling to a bottom wall of the main housing, a base structure for coupling to the connecting structure so as to locate adjacent the outward-swing door and outside a swing path of the outward-swing door, and a blocking structure demountably coupled to the base structure, at least a portion thereof extendable into the swing path of the outward-swing door for restricting the outward-swing door to open to a predefined maximum extent.
Panel door lockout
A lockout device is able to secure a door on a panel. The lockout device includes a housing and a flexible line. The housing has a first mounting portion adapted for securement to one side of the panel and the flexible line has on one end thereof a second mounting portion adapted for securement to another side of the panel from the first mounting portion. The housing further supports at least one line engagement element and the flexible line extends through at least a portion of the housing including the at least one line engagement element for selective engagement therewith. In use, the mounting portions may be affixed or attached to opposing sides or edges of the panel, the flexible line drawn taut, and the line engagement element(s) of the housing used to engage the flexible line to hold it in positon with respect to the housing.
Portable door lock
A door locking device having a locking bar with a first section and a second section pivotally connected to the first section and, the second section being provided with a protrusion. There is also provided a housing having a first end comprising a face and a recess therein. The first section of the locking bar is received and retained, within the recess of the housing, and the pivotal connection is orientated with an axis of rotation that is non-parallel with the longitudinal axis of the locking bar.
Locking device to secure a door and methods for installing and operating the locking device
A device for securing a door including a rotatable handle affixed to the door, a rotatable member affixed to the door, a catch, and a protrusion from the rotatable handle that is configured to lift the member when the member is engaged with the catch and the rotatable handle is rotated. A device for securing a door including a member configured to be rotatably attached to the door, a catch configured to be attached to a wall adjacent to the door and to receive the member, and a protrusion configured to be attached to a handle on the door and to lift the member when the member is in a closed position and the handle is rotated. A method for installing a device for securing a door with a handle, the method including affixing a member to the door so that the member can rotate, affixing a catch to a wall adjacent the door, the catch configured to receive the member, and affixing a protrusion to the handle, the protrusion configured to lift the member when the member is engaged with the catch and the handle is rotated.
Removable door lock
A removeable door lock device for temporary installation to a door for additional security is disclosed herein. The removeable door lock device includes shock pads, two sets of metal rods, and a metal base. A first of the shock pads is placed on a back side of a door for leverage and support and a second of the shock pad is configured on the opposite wall for leverage and support. The door lock device is easily mounted on to an existing door without having to alter the existing door. Additionally, the door lock may be configured to be locked and unlocked through the mobile device of a user.
Door security device
Embodiments discussed herein enable an authorized user of a door security device to secure a door against entry, but also enable that authorized user to provide access to others, without having to provide a physical key. Embodiments discussed herein further allow an authorized user to operate the door security device remotely, such as through a wired or wireless network, or through any other network as described herein, as known at the time of filing, and/or as developed after the time of filing.
